Thanks for all the responses. My main problem would be I do not know what the question wants me to answer. I understand the question (sometimes), but I have not been able to answer correctly. Saunders questions I usually get right with no problem (90-95% correct).
I graduated nursing school in December 2012 and took the NCLEX the following January. I took the hurst review before I tested the first time and felt it was $300 wasted. When I failed the first time, I knew then I should've saved the 300. I tested in August and failed again. Now I am working on the 45 day review from hurst but it doesn't seem like much help. I am only doing this because it was offered at no charge and I don't know what else to do. What I really need is one on one guidance to help me better understand how to test. Some material I am a little rusty on but I am studying these areas. Even though I know my material I cannot answer these questions correctly. Does anybody know of a study buddy that can work via FaceTime or maybe in person? I live in south Mississippi. Maybe a certain program? I'm not seeking pity; I just need some guidance for I have NEVER tested well with standardized tests.
Thanks, Esme12. Sorry for the late reply; school has been busy. Teacher didn't specify and I thought there might be a question about epi dosing and I was right. Forty percent of the questions they pick, for the test, is on material they don't even cover.
I have looked in 2011 Gahart IV Meds, 2013 Lippincott Drug Handbook, and 19th ed of The Merck Manual. I need to know the rate of infusion per hour for "x" hours for d/c, or if epi is d/c abruptly. I do not think epi would be d/c abruptly but cannot find enough info to support this or any nursing considerations. Thanks, Daniel
