  1. I was offered during the interview. I got the official offer the next day by email from HR. I have been in constant contact with her since but am still waiting on the contract, which is apparently taking a long time to receive from legal. She told me on Thursday (May 2nd) that they were finishing up interviewes last week and had extended most of the offers already. Has anyone else on here accepted? I AM SO EXCITED!!! Good luck to those who are waiting to hear back!
  2. Hey everyone! I am so glad I found this post! I, too applied and got a call for an interview scheduled for the first week in April. I had the same problem finding out about the application as I have called HR FIVE times since January and never got transfered to the correct department. Has anyone heard of anything about the interview process? Med Administration test? etc??? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep me updated! Also, does anyone know when the residencies will be posted? THANKS and good luck to everyone!
  3. sugarmagnolia018 when did your friend call Parkland's HR and get that information? I've called three times and they have yet to tell me anything along those lines. Do you have an interview with UTSW? If so, when and what area? I have one on the 14th for ER.
  4. I did too. What specialties did y'all apply to?
  5. I sent a follow-up email and got a call back two weeks ago saying that he was going to call for a phone interview but couldn't start calling people until the applications closed last Friday. I'm thinking (hoping) that they will call next week. What specialties did you apply for?
  6. Yeah no kidding. I sent a follow up email and the recruiter called me back. They will begin phone interviews after the 15th and said it will go pretty quickly from then. Good luck! Keep me posted if you hear from them!
  7. I've heard it's pretty competitive. Supposedly they had 600 applicants last year. I have heard of them interviewing out of state applications but all of the info I have "heard" has come from this website. What specialty did you apply for?
  8. Has anyone applied to any of the internships Baylor is offering for June 2013??
  9. I sent in my application for Baylor. Anyone else?
  10. I want to start this post to hopefully have people share ideas/thoughts/Q&A/advice/experience about applying for internships in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for Summer 2013. If you have applied to any already, please let us know where and how the process is going! Does anyone know of any hospitals offering ER internships for May 2013 graduates?
  11. Baylor's Internships were up on Feb 1, they close Feb 15. Parkland HR said to check between the end of March and early April. Methodist posts open end of April to early May. Anyone know of any other facilities offering ER internships?
  12. Thank you everyone for responding! I'm hoping it wont be a problem, but like caliotter3 said, its a little too late now! Heres for hoping for the best!
  13. I am currently enrolled in a newer BSN program in Texas. I am the second cohort in the program and will graduate in May of 2013. Recently there has been talk among my classmates about our programs accreditation status. The program was approved by the Texas Board of Nursing, however we have not yet been granted accreditation from an accrediting agency. Our Dean informed us that as of now we have candidate status with NLN and are "expected to be granted full accreditation in 2013." She did not say if that was before or after our graduation. My questions are: 1) If we are not accredited by the time I need to start applying for jobs and/or internships, will I run into trouble getting hired? 2) If we are not accredited by the time I graduate but the program is eventually granted accreditation, will I be considered a graduate of an accredited program? 3) How important is accreditation to larger hospitals when they are looking to hire you? PLEASE HELP! THANKS! -LKL
