  1. We can't tell you hun. That number doesn't mean anything. What you should do now is, relax. Watch a comedy movie or something to cheer you up. If your state participates in quickresults, you'll find out in 48 hours. Just relax until then.
  2. Hi guys, it's been a long time since I've logged into the site. But I've been reading many threads from allnurses to not get discouraged after taking that monstrosity of an exam. I thought I failed for sure because I felt like I didn't know anything. There were more than 30 SATAs, which I was horrible at. I was calm while I was taking the exam, but I felt like crying afterwards. I didn't want it to shut off at 75 because that means I failed, or so I thought. I went to try the PVT right after I took the exam, but I didn't have $200 to gamble, so I didn't click submit. So I waited those agonizing 47.5 hours and this morning, I found out I passed. I couldn't believe it. The adrenaline rush was crazy. Passing was extra special for me because I'm the first in my family to have a college degree/career. I know people who took it today are reading this post. Do NOT get discouraged. Don't do the PVT because you'll waste your $200 if you passed. Do something to keep you engaged for those 48 hours because the odds are in your favor. close to 90% of people who take the NCLEX pass. The number of questions you got is irrelevant because I felt like I was dumb while I was taking the exam even though I only got 75 questions. Doesn't matter if you got 75 or 130 or 265, all that matters is passing. The number of questions doesn't decide if you are going to be a good nurse or not. For future test takers, You know the material, just keep calm and tackle that exam. I used uworld exclusively to study. If you have the $79 to spare, do uworld! However, before doing the questions, read up on the topic a little bit so that you'll have some background information. I did mine in tutor mode so that I could see the rationales immediately after answering the questions. Read the rationales even if you got a question right, there will be new information in the rationales. Good luck!
  3. Hi guys, I heard Montefiore pays significantly less compared to private Manhattan hospitals, is this true? I was looking through the forum and the last salary someone posted is from 2013 ($38.50). How much do they pay now for someone with BSN?
  4. Hey guys I currently go to Hunter College . I went there for nursing, then realized how hard it is to get in to the program. I applied to College of New Rochelle for Spring 2014 but I'm being really pessimistic and think I'm not going to get accepted. The reason: I took Anatomy and Physiology at Hunter and got a "D". I did well on all others. But A+P really did bring down my GPA.I still have to take microbio, nutrition and A+Ps. Right after graduating high school, I went to Mercy college and had a GPA of 3.5. At Hunter my GPA is 2.5. I know there is the TEAS exam and everything. People who got accepted at CNR, what was your TEAS score? Thanks in advance guys!
