I'm doing CPR next week, turning in all my financial aid paperwork and vaccine info etc. I'm waiting to buy books because I want to be sure they match up with the ones at the bookstore. I'm trying to find cheap books online and so far from what I've found I would save only about $200. Not much, but a little bit helps. When is everyone else planning on buying books and anyone know of any good websites to purchase them besides the PCC bookstore? I'm buying scrubs and shoes last. I know someone in 2nd year and she got cheap white Reebok shoes and they are only required for clinicals so it's best to keep it cheap, simple, but still comfy :)

Could you give an estimate of the tuition cost breakdown each term? I am sure it will be discussed at orientation as well. I figure I will need to work part time during the program because the financial aid I was awarded is not going to cover living expenses.

Congrats! It still feels surreal! Well, until I logged in PCC and they updated my major to "nursing"! How exciting!!!

I took BIO 234 online at clackamas this spring term and I am glad I did because it was extremely challenging/time consuming. I do not recommend taking it online. You get a lab kit and do all the labs at home. Instructors tell you to plan on studying about 20-30 hours a week! If you can take the class in person you are way better off. Im just happy the class is over and I can focus on nursing courses this fall :) Good luck!

For those still on the wait list at PCC hang in there! I was #5 and just got offered (and accepted) a spot for the nursing program this morning! I am so excited!! :)

I officially got the call today for acceptance to PCC nursing program! So excited to start my career journey in nursing!!!

I'm done too! It was not what I expected either. Definitely no way to prepare. Glad it's outta the way tho! Good luck to everyone! Time to play the waiting game :)

Got my PCC proctored essay outta the way this morning. Feel pretty good overall. Now just the torturous wait LOL! Got CCC interview next Wednesday. PCC said they pick 80 and the rest will receive an alternate number. Over 700 applied to PCC this year! :)

I have my PCC essay Friday morning. CCC Interview is next Wednesday the 24th. For those who just did the essay, did PCC mention how many they invited to the essay? I know CCC invites 120.

I am wearing my scrubs because I have to work after the essay. From what I heard last year, some people wore scrubs and others dressed comfortably. It's not a formal interview so I'm not overly concerned about it.

Bradylee- I was also in the bcc field of my email and was paranoid at first too. But it sounds like its just the way they sent out the emails!
