  1. Congratulations! I would brush up on ratio and proportions, read or reread A&P, and read a Nursing Fundamental book.I would buy your books as early as you can. Although our instructors did not teach the chapters in order, we have needed all the chapters. All that being said, most of all I would do anything NOT nursing related that you love..NOW. Because once your program starts it is ALL nursing :) Misty
  2. I read the first two chapters in my books and did all the activities. Second day into classes and not one class started with chapter 1:) We are checking off nursing skills. This weeks reading ( all 7 chapters) are regarding personal hygiene, transferring, eating and nutrition,ROM, and ambulation. Also a lot of math calculations this week. Maybe brush up on ratios and proportions and basic math (decimals, fractions, and percentages) . I would also familiarize yourself with your books. Some of my books also have websites. Does your program include ATI? There is a lot of reading you could do at the ATI website. My program uses ATI and we have lots of modules to do. I wish I could have started last week. Good Luck with your program. I felt overwhelmed today. I think once my kids go back to school ( next week) and I get a rhythm down I will feel better. It is so exciting. Misty
  3. Are you taking the LVN-RN program at the same school? If so I would think they would transfer. If not, you will need to contact that school to see what will transfer in. I have taken all BS level classes at my community level college and they will all transfer to any UW system. The 100 level classes will not transfer anywhere. Hope this helps.I am starting my program in a few weeks! I plan on doing the LPN-Rn program too. Misty
