  1. I've hit that time in my career/life where my family and I need a change. :) And all of a sudden last night at dinner this idea popped into my head. I've read quite a few posts on here and do have a basic understanding of contracts/stipends/etc, but do have a couple of questions. 1st-my family and I own our home. Can anyone give me any tips/pros/cons/suggestions as to what I should/shouldn't do in regards to our mortgage? I did have a thought of doing a travel assignment away and then coming back home for an assignment and so on. I know of 1 ER nurse here at the hospital I worked for who did that. 2-I would be traveling with my husband and kids. From what I've read, there is a monetary deduction made if you are traveling with people. How much? Also, along with this, if I were to go with the housing they provide (and I would think for the first assignment at least, I would be doing this), can you negotiate house size/bedrooms? We're fine with 2 bedrooms. 3-How do you get licensed in other states? Does the agency do that or do you? And how expensive is it? Thank you in advance!
