  1. Thanks for the feedback. Are all of the nurses on your floor trained to care for pedi patients? If so, how were they trained?
  2. I am a nurse manager in a rural hospital in maine. I have pedi patients on my unit (about 5 per month). I am looking for help in devoping a strategy for training new pedi nurses and keeping the ones I have competent, given our low volume. Any ideas would be appreciated.
  3. Do the figures that everyone is quoting include CNAs and clerks as well as the LPN/ RN. My 42 bed unit is running at 10 HPPD?????
  4. I am a nurse manager of a 42 bed med/ surg unit and have been asked to write a strategic plan for my unit. I do not have a template to go by. Does anyone have one they could share. I am also very interested in corresponding with other nurse managers about the challenges we all face. Thanks,
