  1. Hey icandie! I am going to attend the review in June. I'm pretty stoked to get the program started.
  2. Great to hear and congrats!! Looking forward to meeting all of you June 12.
  3. Tub, I havent been given much paperwork other than FAFSA and my GI Bill. I sent both in and *******said sometime April/May we will get a letter about Physical forms, criminal background, books, uniforms etc. I was also told the drug test is done there at RMH. The supply list, she said, will probably be given in the first orientation during early June. Icandie, 73% on TEAS? Ya your in there like swim wear as long as you have your other courses finished or at least signed up to do so by summer 1. Let me know how you make out though.
  4. Hi icandie! My interview was right after my TEAS exam. *****pulled me in and asked why I wanted to be a nurse, why Roxborough. She asked about my support system and work hours. Did you take the TEAS yet? If you did well I'm sure you will be good to go.
  5. hey gang. I was accepted in Roxborough SON for this upcoming fall. Im looking forward to our first orientation day in June. Hit me up if you have any questions.
  6. Dannipoint, I decided to go to Roxborough school of nursing. It made the most sense for me considering I live downtown & have a daughter to get to school each day.
  7. Hey guys. Both of you have outstanding scores and grades. I decided to attend a nursing schooling Philly. In the process of applying at GCC they told me that as long as the student passes the HESI and meets the GPA standard, then there should be no worries. They said they were able to accept every applicant that met those standards last year & expect the same this year. Best of luck.
  8. Mel_z, Congrats on the admission and good luck in your nursing endeavors! I too had a GPA hovering just below 3.0 due to multiple military deployments over the years but I will be attending Roxborough this fall. Good job getting accepted!
  9. Just wanted to say good luck to all of you who have been accepted to CCP. I decided to go to Roxborough's program this fall. Best of luck gang.
  10. Congrats to your upcoming graduation. I have been in the Army for 13 yrs (infantry) and have a good grasp on how things work. I also have a boat load of friends who are serving as Nurses in the Army, AF and Navy, so I can at least point you in the right direction. Whats on your mind?
  11. Hey Cupid, can you tell me what the average day is like as far as start times and days of the week? As a single dad of a 4yr girl, I am very concerned about how to get her to school and pick her up.
  12. Hey. Thanks for starting this thread. Sorry you had to medically drop last year. That must of been a difficult decision. Right now I am applying at CCP, GCC and Roxborough. CCP is my first choice due to tuition. As of right now I still have to take the AHT and am sitting with 6 points on their scale. Hopefully I get at least 2 from the AHT. Do you have to go through the entire process all over again?
  13. hey mommyof3girls, I am applying to CCP nurse program also. I've been a paramedic here in the city for almost 7 years so like you, I have the majority of my pre-reqs banged out. This semester I had to take STS 101 because my high school sciences were ions ago. I look forward these upcoming information sessions.
