  2. Hey guys, I need some advice. I'm a 41 year old RN who spent 6 years on active duty as a Corpsman prior to nursing school. I've recently been strongly considering returning to service via a commission with the Army National Guard. I have my BSN, would like to add to my retirement options, and I miss the military life. My problem is when I was homorably discharged, I screwed up,my shoulder and knee and was given a 40% disability rating. My recruiter told me with that being the case, if have to be cleared by my local MEPS station and go through the medical waiver process. I've also heard that I need to be at 30% rating or below to even be considered, so I'd need to be reevaluatd to get it dropped. Has anyone had any experience with having a service connected disability and pursuing a return to some sort of military service? My recruiter is going to research it further, but I'd like to get as much input as I can. Is my hope of getting a commission as an RN a pipe dream, or is it possible? Thanks in advance,
  3. Hey everyone, long time reader, first time poster. I took my boards yesterday, I felt like I did awful. After a few hours of feeling horrible, I started looking online and came across the Pearson Vue Trick. I followed the instructions, tried to reschedule my exam and I got the message "Our records indicate you have recently scheduled this exam. Etc... ". When I read that some folks got the message indicating you had already passed the exam, I felt a little more panicked. I spoke with classmates who have taken and passed their exam, and the received the same "Scheduled" message that I did. My test results were successfully transmitted as well. Needless to say, I've tried to re-register MANY times in the last 24 hours, and I always get the same "recently scheduled" message, and it won't let me pay for the exam. My first day of Orientation at my job is tomorrow, so hopefully I can login and get my fast results, and they say that I PASSED. I'd really want to come back for day 2 of orientation! Please keep your fingers crossed in the nursing community!
