  1. Second time applying. Last year was an alternate. Have had 6 months ER experience. Didn't get in or even an alternate this round. Military isn't in my cards. Good luck to those who are still waitin to hear; congrats to those who made it and keep trying to those who didn't.
  2. Manda..where r you from? I haven't heard either!! Ugh!
  3. Did you apply OB? And where's your recruiter out of?
  4. Did you apply OB?
  5. Are any of your recruiters from Chicago?? Mine said her list hasn't been updated yet...frustrating! I want to hear!!!
  6. Anyone getting extremely nervous!?! This is the week we should hear! Ahhhhh! Second time applying for this...hopefully better results this year!
  7. It shouldn't be too much longer til we hear. Hope everyone is doing ok with the wait! Good luck to all!
  8. Ahhh! Even less than last year! Good luck eceryone!
  9. There was a quote I found that fit perfectly for all of us...thought I'd share! Sometimes, no matter how much we want something to happen, all we can do is wait. And usually waiting is the hardest part. Stick together everyone, and don't give up! We'll get there!
  10. Or, do u think they'd say I've only got 3 months, so roll over to NTP? I dunno. If it says there's no slots to roll and NTP applicant into FQ if they got 6mo experience, and I'd have to wait for the next FQ alternate spot...wonder how long that'll be...
  11. So ok...that's a lot of jumble to me. I have 3 months now of experience in ED but applied OB. By the time I go in, I'll have more than 6mo experience...the way that email looks, does that mean they'll have a spot since I was NTP alt and then will be rolled in to FQ?
  12. Hey! I did not hear that. My recruiter said there would be. But I did get an email stating that if we're still interested, they may be able to give us positions next fiscal year. I'm number 5 for OB, but they only took 5 total last board, so hopefully they take 5 alts! Who knows!!!
  13. Hey, Yeah world is that all NTP alternates can be found a spot in the AF if they have 6 months experience. :) good luck finding a job! Thanks for the update! Hope
  14. Well guys...today starts a new week. let's hope the MSgt got back from vaca and is updating the list now! Post with any news :)
  15. The MSgt who updates the alt list is still on vacation I heard..
  16. I know, right?! How awesome would it be to be a part of it!
  17. No problem guys! I just think it's a really cool thing they do, and I've befriended the owner (Nick..a Navy man). He travels to soooo many bases to meet with people and lots of USO's! It's very cool!
  18. Hey everyone..I'm not sure if any of you have heard, but I thought I'd throw it out there. Bands For Arms is an amazing company that is a group of military members that volunteer their time (after a long day of work), to make bracelets out of old donated military uniforms. I highly suggest you guys check it out! The bracelets aren't expensive, and it's pretty cool because they send you a card with your bracelet of who the person was that donated their uniform and what their job was! I just received two bracelets I ordered..the 2011 Nurse's bracelet (the one that says Comfort) and the 2012 nurses bracelet! Both of the Nurse's bracelets are sold out...but there are LOTS of others that are awesome. Check it out at http://www.bandsforarms.com. Also, if you're on Facebook, I highly suggest 'liking' them on Facebook too!
  19. Well bummer! I highly suggest 'liking' them on Facebook! He brings some back each year :) and they have other ones that are absolutely awesommeeee!

  21. Ohhhh! Alrighty! That makes sense. Well dang...more waiting! Sheesh!
  22. Well good luck to you too! And this site is a life saver :) it's where everyone can say how stressed they are waiting, and dreaming about getting their own cammies and Air Force blues without feeling weird! Hahah. Because other people feel the same way :) we have sort of become a family :)
  23. Hey Alts...have any of you gotten letters in the mail about being an alt? I'm debating if we'll get one or not, or if they just send acceptance and declining letters. Thanks!
  24. Oh very cool! What area do you work in now? Yes, everyone on here has applied to the NTP program in July. The majority have graduated already and have worked less than a year, but I don't graduate until this December. This is my first time applying to the board and I was put as alternate number 5, so not many complaints! I just hope, along with all the other alternates on this site, that I get in! :) good luck on ur FQ application process!
