thanks for the help -- i already have a job and will need to pass on my first try -- I have about 6 weeks. i have already done some review and practice tests and would like to focus with the right materials. I am not doing well-- but I am doing better and I am motivated and will work to succeed. based on the comments on this board, it seems that going through Saunders Review + Q&A is worthwhile my questions are what else to do. I know some of the common questions below have been asked and answered before. but i'd value additional input where even the briefest of replies are appreciated and could be right on point. Thanks again. 1) what are the best tests to use for preparation -- Kaplan, HESI, NCLEX 3000, Mosby CAT, MEdsPub, Delmar? 2) slightly different question -- which tests are the most accurate indicator (and what is the % level) for likelihood of passing NCLEX. In other words, how can one know when one is ready? 3) what books in addition to Saunders would you buy. There is a Davis Review book by Lagerquest that is packed with material --is it too much? Are there any great reviews for additional materials for certain subject areas (maternity, pharm)? Was it worthwhile reviewing school materials? 4) please --- are the 3-4 day live review courses such as medspub, drexel, worthwhile? One student said they were good if taken 2 weeks before test. I realize that they may be overpriced, but I specifically want to know if (and how) it would be a benefit as an early or late review tool or would it be a waste of time. 5) i'm assuming that preparation should be 2/3 questions and 1/3 review. Am I wrong? Currently I'm reviewing rationales and making notes to a growing table in WORD. Is there a more sophisticated system? thanks again --
