  1. That is my second option. I'm planning on taking the licensure for Illinois because they're the only state from the ones I've contacted that would allow me to take even though I have graduated 6 years ago. And that's the reason why I cant take it in Texas anymore due to me having graduated over 4 years and with no hospital experience.
  2. Hi, I'm not sure if this is where my post should be on but I would like to hear from anybody who graduated Nursing from outside the US. I currently reside in Texas and have taken the test twice but unfortunately failed both times. It has been over 4 years since I graduated and never have had experience in the field so now, I was told to reeducate and basically trash out what I've already been through for 4 years. I've called many times about t to see if I get a different answer but all the times I did I was told the same thing. None of them told me that I could just do the refresher course. I would like to just be able to take it here in Texas and not have to take the exam for another state and process the reciprocity(sp?) thing for me to be able to use my license here in Texas, but not have to reeducate, because, first of all, I got the education already and second, I dont have the money and time to do it all over again.
  3. i applied for ssn on may 21st and i thought it will be issued to me 4 weeks after that but then after 4 weeks, i still didnt get it and so i went to the office myself and checked about its status, they said my visa has expired already in here on june 15, so they could not issue me a social security. they will, after i can provide them an update of my status here and thats when i get approved for my AOS!. so yes you're ryt, you cant get ssn before getting ur status here adjusted.
  4. thank you so much for the information!
  5. one more thing, i have not processed my adjustment of status here in the US yet, but soon i will have my Social Security, is it possible for me to take NCLEX with just having social security? or do i need to be permamnent resident here? thank You!
  6. somebody sent me a msg and suggested about taking nclex in Ca but i couldnt reply coz im new in this site and it says i cant send any private msg unless im getting on here for awhile now, but im not. but anyway, i was gonna say that somebody once told me before that i can just take NCLEX from another state, idk if im right but i think i remember its either georgia or New Mexico, coz the requirements arent as much, and not as comlicated as here in texas. and then if i pass, she said something about, (idk if i still remember it ryt, reciprocate?) it is a process to have my license usable here in the state of texas.
  7. Hello! i wish id get to know you so we can do this thing together. did you take an examination for CGFNS? where? is there an online application for that?
