  1. I am a 1999 graduate of St. Michael's College in Vermont with a BS in Biology. I've been working for 4 years in NYC at a pharmceutical advertising agency. I would like a change of careers, specifically I am looking to pursue a career as a nurse practicioner in pediactrics (oncology). Hoping to get some assistance from you experienced and knowledgeable folks about schools in NYC that are not that expensive and where I would be able to do the accelerated BSN on a part time basis, mainly evenings and weekends. I would also like to know, if the 3.0 GPA these programs request are ever waived. I graduated with a 2.8 and would really love to enter a BSN program. Thank you very much!! Also, what is the timeframe needed to complete the MS degree in nurse practioner after completion of a BSN? I'm hearing 4 years?!? That seems too long.. Any advice and/or information, contacts would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again.
  2. ------- Hi- I just stumbled upon your posting and was wondering if you ever had a response.. I am in the exact same position as you were at the time this posted. Curious to see if you were successful in changing careers and furthermore, if you were able to find any accelerated BSN programs in NYC (night or weekend classes?). Any information/advice or contacts would be greatly appreciated!! THANKS-
