  1. Now I'm a bit worried.
  2. Wow. Congratulations! You already have your DL so that means your really going to Addenbrookes already. Unfortunately, I'm still not sure since I don't have my DL yet. Mind if I ask, how long did you process your visa and medical after you got your DL?
  3. Yeah. I've noticed that you have to confirm every information you get from NMC because what they tell you through email is not always what they tell you through phone. You're comfortably waiting for you DL because you received email that it's already on process and then put of the blue when you call them to confirm you find out you're actually lacking documents. Tsk. It's always better to call them, although pricey and time-consuming, still it's safer.
  4. Gosh, I know how you feel. When they asked for additional documents from me I was told through an email to wait for my DL but when my agency called them up, that's the time we were told to provide additional documents. I hope NMC can manage their processing better to not cause delays and distress.
  5. I use the services of the regular post office. So far, all my documents get there safe, around 2-3wks. If you're not in much of a hurry, it's ok to use the local post. Just put it under registered service so you can still track your parcel over the net. I spend not more than 200 per transaction as compared to 1000-2000 with other services. ?
  6. Same here.
  7. Exactly. Calling gives them all the information they need, plus, the internet is not really reliable.
  8. Correct. Your problem is making me worry, actually. My institution doesn't even have a working website!
  9. Whooaaa! Well that's not right. I hope they accept it too, it'll be such a waste to bring documents back and forth when the problem can easily be resolved.
  10. Nice one cherrynba. Addenbrooke is also what I was told. Hope our Dl cones soon. :) Positivity setting in...see you soon.
  11. From what I know and understand, it depends on the Hospital where you will be assigned if they are willing to risk taking you there without the assurance if you will be able to move on to continue with the ONP. Anyway, it's the hospitals who will be financing your ticket and also hiring you. Not all agencies can assure you of the same, not even ASC, because they only work in behalf of the Hospitals, and it's the hospitals that give the go signal. Not all the Hospitals share the same policy. Hope this helps. :)
  12. She informed me about the hospital that will cater for this september, but from what I read, you were asked where you wanted to be located, right? I wasn't given the same option, though I've been hearing about that actually, about some applicants being asked where they wanted to be located, but I was only told what Hospital will be hosting an ONP this september. Which is fine by me, a job is a job is a job, right? Yep, I already sent the document they asked for. :)
  13. They asked me to provide a breakdown of hours from the first school where I started my Nursing Degree. I'm a transferee, hence, they asked me to provide a breakdown for both. Quite frustrating because when I started processing my second pack, I was already contemplating this and asked NMC if I should ask both schools to provide, which I was told it wasn't necessary as being a transferee, the school where I finished my degree should be able to provide the information NMC needed. So imagine my surprise when, after 2months of waiting, they asked me to go back to my old school and provide the document they said I didn't need to accomplish. Good thing I was already able to request for a breakdown during the time I was accomplishing my Pack 2. Had I not, it would've taken me 2 more weeks to provide the document... 2 additional weeks I can't risk. At this point I'm still waiting but all hopes are high. I know God has a reason for my delay. :)
  14. Yep. Waiting is really hard especially when you're expecting something else. Anyway, my hopes are still all high, hoping against all hope that they can now compute my hours especially so because they asked for an additional document. God bless us all.
  15. Hi marvs. If they have any questions or require additional papers, it will take the same time as when you'd be expecting your DL. At least from what I went through. I sent my Pack 2 around 2nd week of Feb. My friend called NMC to follow up and he was told that I should expect the decision around 3rd of April. All hopes up. But instead of waiting for my DL, the letter I received contained a request for additional papers. Just imagine how distressed I was. Anyway, I requested the document immediately but when I followed up on my parcel, my school was only able to send the document around the 3rd wk of May. When we called up NMC again, we were told I should expect an answer approximately in two months and get the letter a few weeks from the time they send my letter. The same time-frame I was told before, despite it being an additional document only. Harsh, right? I saw a reply to your comment on my post awhile back(DL that can take about 3wks) and my hopes got high, yet again. :) Anyway, goodluck to all of us. :)
  16. Hi cherrynba. I'm also still waiting for my decision letter. Hope we still catch the September batch though. I sent mine a month earlier that you but NMC required additional documents. Haaayy. God-willing pero sana we can get our decision soon.
  17. Same here. Did you get your decision letter already? I was also expecting mine last May but unfortunately NMC required more documents from me.
  18. I'm working with them, yes, but I haven't signed an actual contract because they said I need to have my decision letter before everything actually starts working out. How about you? When do you expect to get your D.L. by the way?
  19. Yeah, that's something to take into consideration. Anywhere is fine, to be honest. Compared to the situation I'm in now? Any other option would probably do. But if I had a choice, I'd still go for the Hospitals. :)
  20. My Pack 2 actually took a long time because, being that I'm one lucky girl, the holidays got in the way. From the time I sent my Pack 1, it probably took around 4 months, but if NMC already told you they already sent it, then you'd probably receive it in 2-4 weeks, depending on your postal office. NMC sent mine around January 9 and I got it around the end of January if my memory serves me right.
  21. Yeah, I've been hearing that the NMC has been very unstable the past years because of the bulk of applicants, as well as the plans to change the guidelines, yet again. I just hope I get my decision soon because I'm really not looking forward to taking any NCLEX-like exam just to be registered in the NMC. I'm actually in contact with Continental Travel Nurse for employment, I've been reading some posts with mixed reviews. I plan on sticking with them, outweighing the good over the bad. I just hope I'm making the right decision by it. :)
  22. I do hope so. Wouldn't want my time wasted. Any news about how the NHS has been doing? Several hospitals have been hiring here in the Philippines and I'm really just waiting for my decision letter to get the ball rolling. :)
  23. I've actually did a few research and yes, they say they accept. But I'm still getting my fingers crossed. I wouldn't really know until I get their decision. Thanks for answering. :)
  24. Hi, I'm also looking to working with CTN, but there aren't a lot of reviews online. I noticed that your post is way back 2012, so I would assume you're already working with them as a Registered nurse? I would really greatly appreciate it if you could message me, as I can't send a private message as of yet, but I really want to learn more about the company from someone who's currently working with them. Thanks. :)
  25. Hi, just wanted to know if you're working with CTN now? If so, how is it? Thanks. :)
