  1. Your definitely not the only one! I have been quite nervous about the critical thinking part as well. Not sure exactly how I am going to do. !
  2. Thank You all for your comments. It feels a lot better knowing that I'm not the only person out there that feels this way. That nervousness and sick feeling was kind of making me worry. I know a lot of this comes from not knowing a whole bunch right now. Our orientation in on Aug 6th, so I think once I go through all of that and then start my first class on August 20th, I will get the feel of things, which will in turn make me feel better, lol I HOPE! ....Another QUESTION: Did any of you former/current nursing students start going through your pharm, med surg, or nursing fundamentals book before your class started? Or how did you prepare for your first semester?
  3. I got my acceptance letter from Bakersfield College. I will be starting the nursing program August 2012. I'm super excited as this is what I have dreamed about my whole life. Everything I have worked so hard for is now right at my finger tips. Its such a great feeling, but also a scary feeling. I have found myself really nervous about starting. Not knowing what to expect, not knowing anyone, not knowing the studying techniques, and also the fear failing at something I have done nothing but worked hard for and dreamed about my whole life. I know there are probably a lot of you out there that have felt the same way. How did you overcome? Any former/current nursing student, is there any advice you can give to help with all these nerves? I'm a good student, but not knowing what to expect is kind of getting the best of me. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!! :)
