  1. thank you soo much! :) now I know what to do. so 19104 is the zip and the 2651 says the specific location. thank you so much for having the time to reply back. I can now say bye-bye to my heightened anxiety. thank you so much. God speed :)
  2. Im really sorry, if this may be a hilarious problem. xD Hi! Im a filipina applying CVS for New York State. and the first step of the procedure is to mail the documents back to CGFNS. yes, but the problem is... it says in their website (their address) 3600 Market street, suite 400 Philadelphia, PA 19104-2651 USA. since I was raised outside the United states, may I ask what does this number mean? Is that the zip code? I'm starting to get soo much conscientious about this. Im afraid that I may mess up my application if I placed wrong info in the courier can somebody please give a informative answer. your reply is highly appreciated. wish me luck :) I've sen this website and seen lots of numbers! http://philadelphia.areaconnect.com/zip2.htm?city=Philadelphia and learned that the area code is 215, will that be asked also? many thanks!
  3. Hi everybody. I was searching for this kind of threads.. because I am a u.s citizen just graduated this year and was not able to take my NLE due to citizenship status (they require me to obtain a voter's i.d back then but our COMELEC who issued them is down nationwide) I would like to ask what happened to your situation? were you able to obtain your license in NY without NLE? looking forward to your reply :)
  4. thank you very much. Im sorry if I keep on asking, haha I am flying to NY tentatively next month.. having only my BSN degree, I am looking for experiences while waiting for my application. can I work as a volunteer even if I have my diploma? will they allow that? while volunteering, Im planning to have part time jobs also to sustain myself. im sorry if my questions was with a touch of my personal life. xD
  5. thank you for your reply. ! :) you have eased my anxiety. time to think about some options. . .
  6. What a relief to hear that there is no requirement for concurrent theory & clinical. (because that might be my problem in my Ca application) yes, you are right! I would just have directly applied in the NY directly. but what concerns me most the long period off CVS. I would like to ask for a follow-up question If NY will not find me qualified for NCLEX RN, is it possible to move my application to LPN instead? Due to long mos of CVS would take, and with your experiences encountered.. can i work as volunteer despite of having only my diploma? because I am planning to work part time and work as volunteer to gain experiences while waiting for a license I am very eager to wait for your reply thanks. :)
  7. hi, Thank you for your reply. Yes, I am pertaining if I passed the LPN exams and became became an LPN with few experiences (because I am planning to volunteer) then decided to move from NY. based from your opinions, it seems to me that endorsement is not applicable? but rather I have to apply for new license together with their corresponding requirements Your reply has been very informative. thanks!
  8. Hi I was just wondering if ever I became a LPN in California and would like to request for LPN license in NY by endorsement, is that possible? I am presently processing my application in california where I would be staying at a friend's house. until this previous weeks I have thought of the conveniency I have if I will stay in New York for personal reasons. however, as a BSN educated outside (particularly in the Philippines) it requires for me to apply for CVS which is a bit pricy and would take about 1 year to finish. somebody please answer, Im sorry if ever this concern was raised previously.. (if it is, please tag the link) so that I could obtain more information.
  9. @westcoastguy hi,i'm presently waiting for the release of my school requirements which is needed for my cali application. i think i will be having them this coming june. but now that i have learned of your situation, i think i will be having a share of your stress because of the cases. i am a dual citizen and i have learned that some get lucky like some of your peers because it depends upon the program evaluator or so, (i don't want to but my high bets on them) if there is an instance that i would be denied, i am free of the option of working as an lpn, i would like to ask if how long would it take before you can take the nclex-lpn? (if you have a rough estimate) thanks!
  10. @ Mustang_Sally I bookmarked your post. I am at the Philippines presently processing my school requirements for my application in Cali. but I think I will face that same situation with your wife. since I have encountered incongruence in theories and clinical experience. and applying as an LVN is now an option or I might apply my NCLEX in Oregon. Your post will be very helpful to people who are considering to be LPN. best of luck!
  11. thank you very much for your reply. Yes, I have learned of the requirements needed in Cali and Oregon. Isn't my BSN degree in the Philippines is not an exemption for learning a month or so of practical nursing ? so that hopefully I would take the written exams to measure my competency. and you are right, I know that Nclex is not just the step for acquiring NCLEX. well, my cases would be a problem in cali because I got my OB cases when I was 3rd year which will be incongruent for them because I learned my Maternal Nursing during my 2nd year. Hopefully, my application in California will run smoothly since I just graduated this year with improved clinical hours. and as for Oregon, nursing education must be evaluated by a CES, prior to obtaining eligibility. What I am concerned most is the long months of waiting for eligibility and etc. Since being a nurse Is what I learned to be, I am very eager to work in the health care team. But now that you told me that being an RN does not assures instant job, do they also accept volunteers? to gain experiences or rather join the military.? Thank you for your reply :)
  12. history hi, i graduated my bsn this year 2012 in the philippines and i am a dual citizen (filipino/u.s citizen). i was not able to take my local boards due to time constraints. they told me to re-oath that i am filipino and have my voter's i.d before i could take the exams. that is why i missed to take it this coming june 30 and july 1 the problem now my problem is.. my best friend is encouraging me to stay with her in california and prepare for my nclex as well. but i just learned of it's strict requirements. and it will consume a lot more time before obtaining my eligibility. the options 1.) and now i have heard that illinois and oregon can process your eligibility in an average of 1 month and from my peer's personal experiences plus the ces that will took about 10 weeks (which is not bad after all) 2.) aside from staying california, some of my relatives told me to stay in new jersey or in new york. new york is also an option but i learned that it will take about 1 year for the eligibility but atleast there are lots of job opportunities in there (do you think so?) my present situation i think we will be leaving in august after our school requirements (tor and cali requirements) are done. but i am still thinking about applying in oregon since it is quite near in california. goal my goal is to earn a license so i could work as an rn or even an lpn. or any work just to make myself productive. and i am looking forward to join the air force and be a military nurse. 1.) while im at the philippines should i prepare my requirements in oregon as well? 2.) should i pursue my application in california? and while waiting do you guys think of other job opportunities offered? is this the practical thing to do? 3.) or stay in new york get a job, and while the licensing in new york is quite long then should i take my license in illinois? sorry for this long message, i need wise advices based from your personal experiences. your replies is very appreciated. -confused-
