  1. I too suffer from anxiety. I'm not a nursing student yet so I can't imagine the stress you feel but i have work in the medical field and I'm going to start my CNA soon and couple years ago I would have never saw myself being interested in this or the confidence but now that I got help with my anxiety everything has changed. I had anxiety so bad just walking out the door made me get diarrhea. I started taking medication and it is a lot better. Of course I still have my panics but I feel more in control and that I can do this! I think like others have said start with the CNA and go from there and your anxiety should be the first thing on your list. If you are already taking meds maybe talk about adjusting them or talking to someone so you can really enjoy the things in life you really love! :) Congrats on your up and coming wedding! Best of luck!
  2. Thank you to both! I'm hoping when I'm finish with my CNA my past medical expierence will help me get a foot in the door. I remember how it was when I first started out doing billing and coding to find a job! L&D that is awesome! I would love that job I think that is what really got me interested when I had my daughter! All the nurses were fantastic!
  3. Hi I am looking into becoming a CNA. I would like to just go to school to become an LPN but where I am currently living (Fort Irwin, CA - Middle of no where!) and I also have a 3 year old that becoming a CNA would work better schedule wise. My husband is currently in the army but will be getting out in a couple years and we want to move back to Colorado where I am from. I am a stay at home mom now but before I became a mom I went to school for medical billing and coding and loved working in the medical field just want something more exciting! I'm looking into CNA so that when my husband does get out I will have experience and be ready to go back to work with a good paying job and then when we get to Colorado I'll have more options to start working on my LPN or RN. If we didn't live so far from the college here at Fort Irwin, I would just go ahead and start my LPN! So frustrating here. But my question is what did you make hourly when you first started out as a CNA?
