Oh, I just remember that I forgot to mentioned something...So I asked them this "Does it mean that my name will be back on the Registry once they processed my application?" And the lady on the phone answered "Yes!". Now I'm relieved and finally can take a nap:D!!!

Actually the application was faxed in to them...sorrry to make anyone confused I didn't mean to say that I sent it in. This certificate is very important to me and this is the first time I renew it so I make a dumb mistake by waiting until the last minute to fax in to them that's b/c I didn't know when to send it in to them. Anyway, hopefully using this method would make my paper come in on time. After this incident I learned a very good lesson that from now on I will make sure to send everythings in early whether it is important or not. I also learned that if I can do something then do it today don't wait until tomorrow. Now I feel like I really grow up and more mature after I learned this lesson.

I know that I sent in the last minute b/c this is the first time I renew my certificate so I'm not really sure when is the right time to send in my application. Now I learned my lesson and won't let that ever happened again. But I sent it in before my expired date so from what I understand that mean my card is still active. I cannot wait until it get process because I cannot wait to get back to work b/c I really missed my co-workers, residents and everyone there:(.

I called in this morning and they told me that I'm still in the system. Wheeew, thanks God:thankya::). Yesterday,I check online and didn't see my name on the Registry so I thought they removed me so I couldn't sleep last night at all. But now I'm feel very relieved after hearing they said that. They also told me that my application is not process yet and to call them back on Friday.

Ok, so I sent in my application for my CNA certificate renewal on last Tuesday which was three days before my certificate expired. And I kept coming back to the website many times to check if they process my application yet. And today I check it again on the CNA Registry by entered in my certificate number and this is what it shown "NO DATA WAS FOUND THAT MATCHES YOUR CRITERIA. PLEASE TRY AGAIN." I tried many times but still received that message. So can someone please tell me why my name does not appeared on the CNA Registry anymore? I am very concern and scare right now b/c I don't want them to take my certificate away b/c I work very hard for it:bluecry1:. For one thing I'm really sure is that I didn't do anything bad like abuse and stuff so there is no reason that they can take my certificate away. Hmmmm, I don't get it!!!! This is the first time I renew it so I don't know how it work. Please help me answer it, thank you all !!!

Hi y'all! I need your help here, please. The problem is that I forgot to send the application in early to renew my California CNA certificate. It will expired in 2 days. So today my supervisor helped me faxed the CNA renewal application to the CNA Department. And they probably will receive it by tomorrow. Since this is the first time I'm renew it so I make a big mistake b/c I thought I should wait until my CNA certificate expired to send in the application. But my supervisor just told me that I need to send it in early b/c it will take a lot of time to receive a new one. Now I'm scare b/c I'm very concern that I can not work b/c my certificate is expired and I don't have a new one yet. My question is, while I'm waiting for my CNA renewal application to process can I still continue to work as a CNA? (It will expired on the day that I'm schedule to work so I don't know if I'm allow to work or not). My supervisor told me to follow up with the CNA Department tomorrow and ask if they allow me to work while the application is waiting to process. I couldn't find any info about this on the CNA Registry Board at all. I can not wait until tomorrow so I really hope someone can answer my question please. Thanks in advance everyone!

My CNA certificate is about to expire in a few days, so I want to know after I send in the application to re-new it how long does it take to receive a new one. By the way I live in CA if that matter. Can someone also let me know do I have to fill out and send in the form that's part of the renewal application that tell us to write down the in-services training/courses? Is it ok to skip that part and only provide to them if they requested later? Is it true that we can not work while our CNA is expired? I know it's expired but it's still active so why not? I don't understand can you explain to me. This is the first time I re-new my certificate so I'm not sure. My supervisor told me that I can not come to work until I bring in my new certificate. I didn't re-new mine yet b/c I thought I don't have to send in the application right away until my certificate expired, which is expired in 4 days. And I thought we can work while the the newal period. Did this ever happened to you or you know it happened to anyone at work before that they have to stay home until they have a new CNA certificate?

I got to agree with you sapphire18 b/c I noticed that they seem like they already forgot it too!! That's a good thing!!

Update: So my fist day that I returned back to work after this incident I was somewhat embarrassed to face and talked to everyone at work again. But I'm happy that many of my coworkers, nurses, and supervisors asked me if I'm ok now and asked me if I already go see the doctor. However I didn't go to have a nose's checkup b/c I feel that it wasn't broken after all. And on my 4 days off I put lots of ice cubes on my bruise and swollen spot so now I feel that I'm already recovered. And I also feel good now that I can let go and move on without thinking about it anymore! So I just want to say thank you to you all here once again for your advices and encouragments. And at last I wouldn't forget to say thank you to all my people at work for their concern about me! Luv u all eveyone!:)

Actually I got hit by a few confused patients before but it was just a light hit only. But especially this time he punched me hard on my nose that I can heard a loud smack from this attack. This is the first time I experienced an attack in the face so I was shocked and scared b/c I thought my nose is going to broken. And I hate when they punched me in my face b/c I don't want to have any bruise or damage to it b/c this is my sensitive area. I have been working here for two years already and it was my first CNA job but I might still sound new to some people I guess. That day I didn't think about reporting this incident to the nurse b/c I know if I did then I wouldn't be able to hold back my emotion and going to cry infront of eveyone. But at last it happened b/c my supervisor noticed I'm about to cry and kept asking me what happened and I have to tell them the true and so I couldn't control it and cried which is very embarrassing. They did asked me to do the incident report already but a few days later when I went back to work no one mention with me that they going to pay for me to have a check up for my nose. Before the nurse told me that after I did the incident report social service is going to replace my glasses but until today they never talk to me about it either. Well, I guess this is how this facility is like. I know that CNA is a hard job that's why I'm going back to school to studying to be a nurse. Thank you so much Hygience Queen for your post!

That day I tried hard not to cry in front of everyone. The reason I said nothing is b/c I don't want to tell them about it b/c I know if I tell them I wouldn't be able to hold back my emotion. I guess at that moment if my supervisor didn't passed by and saw me with red eyes and kept questioning me why am I crying then I wouldn't broke down to tears. Other people passed by and didn't notice that I'm about to cry but why do he have to discovered this and even noticed that I have bluish color on my nose's bridge. He have such a good eyes. I really hope that day no one discovered that I want to cry at all so that I woudn't broke down and cried in front of them. Aaaahhhhh!!!! Now it happened and I'm still embarrassed.
