  1. Looking to work as a nurse in France.

    Hi, I am new to this website today and have so far found it very helpful and informative. I have my nursing degree in the UK but i live in France and am looking to work as a nurse in France. I now speak okay french but my writing is very poor. I really want to work in the Savoie area - where i live. I need to get my registration and all my papers in France to be able to work and i am not really sure how to do this. I think from what i have read i need to contact DDASS (but find their website quite difficult to use) to be able to start the process. Is this correct and does anyone know the correct procedure? Also i thought in the meantime i would see about being a nursing assistant to gain some experience of the french system and medical terminology. Does anyone know how to do this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
