  3. melanie, you need a sense of humour, need to be able to stand, walk and run for 8-12 hours and able to come back to work the next day do it all over again. You need to equip yourself clinically because some staff (nurses/doctors) dont know what they're doing. And you know that you are suited to ER when after a code blue you tell yourself.........."Wow! that was great!" (even the patient died) goodluck katrinamay
  4. i work here in australia ER too. Our waiting times are average 4 hours. In other parts of australia is about 6 hours average. Two hour waiting time is pretty good. You can only do what you can. You cannot make everybody happy. Emergency is for emergency cases. The reason they are waiting that long is that they do not require emergency treatment. Good luck!
  5. hey,' how did u get ur result? They didnt give me mine, all i know is i passed please ........how.???
  6. there is a big shortage of nurses everywhere in australia..You can go anywhere. You can even walk in any hospital and fill up an application form and i guarantee that u will get a call the next day. Even you've only got one year experience.
