I do not want to get into an argument with any body, but I do not believe I was not rude in my reply, just speaking my mind as a consenting adult! I appreciate Suzannes apology, but I keep hearing how there are more important issues to be tackled, (of which I am fully aware and understand) before the nurse shortage is addressed, along with the Green Card issue, but after, 10 years as a qualified nurse, working hard for what I have, I dont look forward to the prospect of living out of a suitcase! I just wanted an idea of when I may be going, and any papers, policies etc. that may give me a glimmer of hope, would help my optimism! I am not saying anybody has suffered any more, or any less for that matter than I have, but you have to understand, I am thinking of myself and my family, they are my concern. I have not applied to simply 'jump' for my Green Card, I am a dedicated nurse in the UK, of which will apply in the USA. Everybodies circumstances are different, and you dont know what individuals are going thru if you dont them. As I said, I was not being rude, just desperate for answers!

Firtsly Suzanne, I did not appreciate your condescending reply, I understood I could ask questions and not expect to be talked down too! I thought this forum was for people who had limited knowledge about immigration issues, and I am sorry if I need to start getting answers to my questions, but some of us have sold our homes, sold our furniture and taking their husband and son, to live back with their parents, not knowing when we are to move! The Visa situation may not be a priority to you, but it is VERY important to me! And no, I dont know something that you do not!

Hi! Does anybody know why December 2006 Visa Bulletin is not out yet? Isn't it supposed to be released on the 10th of each month?

I agree with you completely! I have been completely confused with the whole situation (which I admit doesn't take much at the moment!) but this whole retrogression talk has put me in utter turmoil! So.......if what Suzanne is saying is right, and it usually is, I shouldnt have a great wait for my interview, just the standard wait time? Sorry Suzanne, I get confused very easily, especially at the moment! Yes, u r right, I meant my DS-230, and my families! Anyway, I have just spoke to the Embassy, and they state they recieved my case on the 22nd Sept, and that it takes 6-12 weeks for the Embassy to contact me. It is apparently 'open', but has no number assigned, but thats where the 6 - 12 weeks comes in! I asked was I going to get stuck in some giant backlog, and she didnt say yes (or no for that matter!) but just give it the normal waiting time! So what do u think........?

I was born in the UK. Your reply has give me some hope, when I ring tomorrow, gonna ask if they have assigned me a Visa number. My I-140 was completed on the 7th Sept, was waitin patiently for packet 4! Really fed up with it all! Thought I was going to be there for New Year! It has been 2 years since I started this, on my own, no agency! I paid for my husband and sons visa, but all the other costs have been covered by my employment!

Hi Suzanne! Apologies first, it is months since I was last on, and it seems I only use it when I have a problem!!!! Sorry!!!! Anyway, me and Ann are in the same boat. My file completed on the 7th Sept and was sent to the embassy, 3 weeks after Ann, so was waiting til Ann heard something then I would be right behind her! But, yesterday I discovered the 'retrogression' and I feel like I have been punched in the face! Why had nobody told me? I have sold my house etc. living in rented and due to move out.......long long story! So, I am ringing the embassy in the morning to gets some answers (hopefully) but, I was wondering Suzanne, in your very wise opinion , what do you think will be the longest time we will have to wait? ANY advice you can give would be MUCH appreciated!!!! :banghead: Thank you! Oh, PS: Ann, I will let u know how i get on, will ring u if I find anythin out!
