I work for a home health agency. We now pay all RN's by salary(different rates based on experience, longevity, etc.) and are looking to convert to PPV. From what I can find, it seems most agencies pay the same rates on PPV to all RN's. Is that the way it really is? It seems the higher paid RN's would not be happy with PPV unless the rate was high enough to make their compensation somewhat equal to their salary. How are paid days off, holidays, in-services, handled? Do you have a different rate for after hours/on-call visits? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
