  1. Hi audacia! I hope your first week went well. Idk if you got my messages or not but this site won't let me private message because I don't use it often. Feel free to email me at [email protected] if you want :)
  2. The October ED fellowship for North Shore University Hospital is already filled. Not sure about LIJ...
  3. I believe they usually run the fellowships twice a year...as to when they put up postings, I'm not sure. I just happen to check the day it was posted which was really lucky for me because they are only up for 2-3 days and then taken down. I would call HR to make sure when to expect it.
  4. My test is at 2:00pm! I didn't have money for Kaplan so all I did was read Saunders cover-to-cover. I didn't do as many questions as other people did which is worrying me right now. Best of luck to you tomorrow!! I hope we both pass with flying colors =)
  5. I know exactly how you feel. I am taking it tomorrow as well and I also have a job riding on this!! Soooo nerve-wrecking! I feel like I will never be prepared enough for this exam... everytime I crack open my Saunders book, I see something I've read before but couldn't retain. How did you prepare for it? Did you use Kaplan?
  6. Yeah I agree. I'll send you an email. My test date is July 5th. That was the earliest test date possible for my area. They wanted it even earlier but it wasn't possible =(. The next date I saw for Lake Success test center was 2nd week of july I believe.
  7. Hey Jlan, The website won't let me PM you because I haven't been "actively" using the site so I'll reply here. I would say if they haven't called in a week, call back the first nurse recruiter you interviewed with. That what they told me. I had my 2nd just two days after the first one but I guess it's 'cause I was one of the first one to interview and they had a lot of time. Keep me updated on how it goes!
  8. The interview went well today and I am set for the second round of interviews. I am applying for the North Shore University ED and she said the manager there will call in a week or so. The first round was exactly like you said: brief, to the point. Your advice really helped me prepare for today so thanks! Good luck on everything and let us know which place you end up choosing :)
  9. Congratulations on your interview FIDOGS! I have an interview scheduled for tomorrow for the ED fellowship as well. I spent my last rotation at this ED and all the nurses that I spoke with there who were graduates of this fellowship LOVED the experience and said it really prepared them well. The nurses there treated me with respect and did not look down on me because I was a student. I felt very welcomed. One of the nurses said typical starting salary is $75-$78k. I hope this info helps! I was wondering if you could also answer some questions I have regarding the interview. How long did the first interview last for? Did they call you back for a second interview with the manager already? If so, how are the manager questions different? Thanks!!
