I work for a BMT unit in Atlanta and our pay differential is 5.75 above the base salary for the hospital. Which is quite a bit more than most of the other units.

Hey mrs. Cheddar, I put in a request to join the group but will not be able to post until that is accepted. Also I sent you a message via Facebook but haven't heard back so I just wanted to say I will be going on Friday for sure. I have class all day on Saturdays so I won't be doing the full pass just the one day. Are the KSU students that are attending going to be meeting up at some point, or is everyone flying solo?

Rachfog, I was just accepted into the traditional program and i got an 84 on the teas overall gpa is 3.81 prereq best 7 of 12 is a 4.0. Also most of us posted our stats already at the beginning of the thread so that is an option too if more people don't post.

Just wanted to let you guys know I didn't get my mail last night until 6:15pm last evening (it usually gets to our house at 1:15) and I got a letter and was accepted into the traditional. The post office definitely seems to be recovering from the holiday. I am so grateful I am in, but I really felt strongly that if I was not selected for this term, there was a reason for it that I may not understand now but would some day. I hope that is of some comfort to those not selected this go round I know it's got to be difficult reading about those of us who got in this semester. Thinking of all of you guys today.

Man desir80's I am so bummed to hear that. But sooo many people who have posted got in after being denied. You should talk to Fran and see if she can give you some feedback. I bet if you get yr teas score up you can get in for the fall semester for sure! Good luck!

Well I stopped by the office today and they were literally stuffing envelopes and she said they may get to the post office as early as tomorrow. The wait is almost over!!!!

I had a short sleeve blouse and was comfortable. At my mock interview there said that business casual was fine he said some people choose to wear "power suits" but it is definitely not necessary he said the most important thing is that you are comfortable. If you are worried you will be too warm you probably will be. I think the button up on its own is sufficient. You could always call career services and ask for their input as well.

Had mine today not sure how it went. The two ladies were really wonderful but I just don't know if I answered everything the best I could or not. I am going to try and let it be and just accept that my letter is going to say exactly what it is supposed to say. I know I have really worked hard and that is all I can do, the rest is up to fate. Sorry I needed to see that in print to cement it in my mind.

How did your interviews go today? Any advice?

He basically said to make a list of qualities I think our important for a nurse to possess and then have an example from my life where I demonstrated each quality. He also suggested being ale to tie in answers to the questions with how t applies to my being a good choice for the program. And he said not to wear anything distracting etc. there was a post of interview questions that qtqueen put up originally and I think it's on this thread now but it was originally on last semesters kennesaw thread (I think) but anyway every question he asked me was on that list. I think if you come up w answers to all of those you will do great! Good luck!

Had my mock interview yesterday. It was very informative. Has anyone heard how many interview letters went out and how many spots there are for spring 2013? The receptionist said there were only 85 spots for both the accelerated and traditional total! And that he thought approximately 100 interview letters were sent. But then the guy who did my interview said he thought it was 120 spots and 150 letters. Has anyone heard Fitch numbers from s.p. or f.h.? Also he said the interviews were done by faculty and not by the advisors or career center.

I did say that it was for the nursing program but we were having some connection problems so I will call first thing Tuesday.

The career center told me to bring an updated resume to my mock interview. Did anyone else have them tell you that? I hope they understood I wanted the mock interview for the nursing program. Or is it kind of a generic interview not tailored toward specific programs?

I called and s.p. said she did not have an exact # as far as applicants to be interviewed but she said 80% of those interviewed, then being accepted, sounded about right for both programs.
