Hey guys! Sorry I haven't been on here in a while. I never got around to making a facebook group, I'm not sure if anyone else did. I'm planning on flying into NC the 6th - 9th to just go to orientation on the 8th and see some friends and family. I look forward to seeing some of you!

Yeah I got my rsvp email (super excited!). But I didn't have anything about my deposit bc I didn't get a formal acceptance letter yet due to the DNP decisions still being decided, they said once those were decided I'd get one stating if I was just accepted into the man or into the bsn to DNP, so I guess I'll find out then!

Did anyone's admissions mention anything about when the deposit is due to reserve your spot or about reserving your spot for open house? I sent an email back to the person that emailed me to tell me about my MSN acceptance, and the DNP decision.

If I get time this weekend after my 3 days I will make a 2018 duke grad student co-hort fb group of you guys use fb and we can keep in touch that way?

Congrats ERrn21!!! Yeah so my page hasn't updated but I got a personal email telling me the BSN-DNP students were being considered still for the DNP program if they were accepted in the masters program and they wanted to congratulate me and let me know I had been accepted into the MSN FNP program and that the committee was still meeting on DNP acceptances and I would know in 3 weeks. So keeping. Y fingers crossed for that, but regardless I am stoked to know I was accepted to earn my FNP!!! I don't know anything regarding scholarship dates yet, I've been just doing some research for personal scholarships because I'm gonna do my best to see what I can get! Time to write some essays! I already booked my flight back to NC for the weekend of open house, can't wait to meet some of you!

I just got an email informing be I was accepted into the MSN FNP program at Duke, they said they committee is still meeting for the DNP program and I'd find out about that in 3 weeks!!! Good luck to everyone else who applied!

When did you schedule to talk to them?

No email or update here, other than the one we got about the 25th. I was sleeping today so I just checked since I work tonight. We're getting closer to Friday!!! I hope the phone call goes well :), keep us updated!

I work wed-fri night lol but I'll still be checking when I have free moments at work haha! I'm hoping to be celebrating good news this weekend í ½í¸!!!

The wait is killing me also! I keep constantly checking for a decision also. I put all of my eggs into the Duke basket because I had a gut feeling that's where I'm supposed to be. I haven't heard of anyone getting a decision yet, but I heard some people who previously were wait listed for this fall got invites for interviews for spring. Keeping my fingers crossed for all of us!

Just got an email, looks like decisions will post next Friday!

Yeah I am super excited to find out but I am currently out of state on a travel assignment and I think it's crappy that they are waiting so long and so close to the open house to let us know something... I just want to know so I can book a flight lol!

Congrats! Did they say anything about letting us know about their decisions since they're interviewing up until the 16th?

Thank you for telling us your stories and for your words of encouragement! I'm so excited for you, I hope in January of next Year to be in your shoes! I wasn't sure if you were starting spring or this fall haha that's why I was a bit confused about your timelines mentioned in your previous post. It seemed as though you sounded like you were starting with the spring group haha, my apologies for misunderstanding. We applied for spring of 2018, deadline for that was May 1st. December 1st deadline was for fall 2017. Are you starting for fall or starting in the spring because you rolled over your application and was wait listed? I know some people who werent accepted for fall I heard got to roll their app over for spring. Was that your situation? Everyone that interviewed for the spring session had zoom interviews, we didn't have an option of in person interviews.

Congrats on your acceptance!!! When did they notify you that you were accepted? When did you have your interview?

Hello, I interviewed mid July. I didn't realize they were still doing interviews this late in the game. That's good news though for those who didn't interview last month. I was told we would know decisions 08/18-08/21 and got a save the date email today for September 8th. Granted now I'm nervous that they're doing new interviews this late, I hope that doesn't mean the initial batch of applicants who interviewed are being passed on, good luck with your interview and good luck to all of us in the next step in our careers and goals :).

I have not heard back about any other interviews. So far all I had was the one interview. I did call and ask someone at the office and they claimed that there should only be the one interview, but when I was booking the appointment originally for the interview it stated if you applied for a speciality certificate or DNP there may be other interviews. So who knows? I find it weird that they haven't at least told you if you are getting an interview or not :/. Keep us updated, congrats on your other acceptance!!!

The questions are all behavioral related not so much why you chose the program which I was kinda surprised by. From my understanding if I'm considered for the DNP I'll also have a separate interview for that! Good luck and keep us updated!

I know I thought 1/4 was a big scary too! You only had 1 person interview you? I had two!

I did they said roughly 1 for every 4 they interview usually gets an offer. I just was expecting them to also ask us why we chose the specialty we chose and stuff about the reasons why we wanted to do that specific field. They did tell me these were blind interviews and they hadn't read our essays... which I thought was really weird, so they didn't really know much besides what we told them.

Interview is complete! They said MSN decisions will go out August 18th and DNP decisions will be August 21st!

How was your interview?

My interview is this morning... anyone else? To everyone that already had theirs, how did it go? Any word on when we will know if we're in or not? And numbers about how many they accept?
