  1. I'll see you all tomorrow! so excited!
  2. I wish I could do the same but I only have enough money to buy a used old edition book.
  3. The handbook is also ready for download!
  4. Hi guys, I also went to the bookstore this morning and the Book bundle with books is 778.10 which includes the E version. The E-version only (no traditional books) is 432.90. I think I will be purchase the E book only. I think it is more convenient for me using the iPad. I've used it in the past and it is very convenient when highlighting notes and organizing your notes. But of course, do what is most comfortable for you. My main reason really is because it is a lot cheaper, . The lady said that is is available for purchase today, but call again to be 100 percent sure because I wanted to purchase some optional books like the drug books and dictionary and they still did not have the prices yet and not ready to be sold. So do check. I do have a dilemma. I have some of the books listed in the syllabus from friends but they are 1 edition older. What do you you guys feel about older edition books? is it too risky? In the past they don't seem to differ so much, but then again, this is nursing. Good luck! I'm so excited. See you all soon!
  5. Hey guys, I'm glad our little thread is growing; still, hoping to find some students who are already in the Napa ADN program or graduated. As with my packet, I will be done with my CPR this saturday and I am all done. Hopefully I don't have to redo anything. I waited 3 years to get into the program, but honestly, I didn't even feel it, I feel like it was just a few months back when I was number 598 or something lol. Time flies by fast, do apply to multiple schools and always have a backup plan - next thing you know you're already getting your acceptance letter! xsinshine - No, I believe not- the healthsteam is due on 8/24 but do check the reminder in case they change. I check it every now and then, hoping to see our class' Handbook. BTW, can you guys let me know if you get your registrations in the mail, b/c in the past, I've had some missing mails and this one's just too important to miss. I'm so excited already! It's almost August! See you all soon!
  6. Great for you!, I'm still on my 2nd step PPD testing, I've scheduled everything to be done by the end of this month, the HealthStream is actually on the reminder section. Here's the exact note: You will need to complete the HealthStream online educational program before entering the clinical portion of your ADN program. Please go to the HealthSteam instruction site for more information. This must be completed by the first week of school 8/24/2012. So we have time, I plan to have that done by the end of this month as well.
  7. I agree, it's not too late for financial aid. Be sure to apply for the fee waiver that will take care of the tuition fee. I'm having a little trouble myself with the financial aid due to excess units but hopefully I get approved before class starts. BTW, did any of you read on the website about turning in the Orientation Quiz -- ON TIME.. but I did not read any deadline, nor the quiz itself. However, I googled the quiz and a quiz came up at ADN NVC website, but the dates are way passed, I'm thinking that must be from last year's enrollees. I may just have to wait for the handbook, perhaps that will clear things up.
  8. Great to hear! wheew! I'm also hoping to get some info and heads-up from current/past students in this thread. The only thing I heard so far is that they may be canceling the RN-BSN or RN-MSN program with Sonoma State due to packed program. Well, I guess I only have to worry about getting my ADN for now. . Btw, have any of you started the Healthsteam online?
  9. Hi, I'll also be attending NVC this fall 2012. I just finished my Physical exam and titers today, That's exactly 2 mos and 26 days till start of the program, I hope they're not too tight on the date, I almost made the cut off of no more than 3 mos before the start of sem. What have you guys been doing to prepare for the program? Also, have you guys gotten the 'receipt' that was mentioned on the acceptance letter. I remember it said that ----- will be registering us and once we got our receipts, we need to pay for it within 7 days.. I haven't gotten any receipts, I noted June 28 for the registration deadline... I just hope I haven't missed anything in the mail lately. I will start with the BLS, and drug and background screening once the Student handbook becomes available. I'm so anxious, I hope everything goes well.
