  1. I am doing the same...the advice I'll give to you is what has been given to me. Know as many of your bones and muscles before you start, so you can concentrate on fully understanding everything that isn't just brute memorization. Also, know the directional planes. You can do this in just a couple of weeks. Try an anatomy coloring book if you're a visual learner. Anatomy Drill and Practice here's a good website to get you started. Good luck!
  2. Hi all! I'm starting on my pre-reqs for my BSN at VolState and then hopefully the nursing program at MTSU. I am making it a point to get straight A's. Like many of you, I attended college a few years ago and sadly, didn't care enough to make the grades I'm perfectly capable of making. Sigh. Anyhow, I'm trying to prepare myself for A&P 1. That "A" will be a lot easier to make if I get a head start but I'm lost as to what I should really be looking at. The professor has yet to post a syllabus so can anyone give me a quick reference as to what would be handy to know right off the bat? I have my old textbook but I'm embarassed to say I just never went to class so I'm not clear on where to start. Also, if I want to get a jumpstart on studying for the hesi which I'll hopefully be taking one year from now could you point me towards a useful link or tell me about a study guide that you found helpful? I'm looking on amazon but not seeing anything that stands out. Thanks! These animated smileys are ridiculous...I want to use all of them.
