Quest4sure

I'm not going to graduation. It is during my son's school year and . Everyone says that I should go. I hate to say it, but I'm just glad that I am done. I am ready to get going on all of these goals they have made me come up with during this program!

You officially have to be done with all of your classes. But I emailed my UTA advisor and told her I was ready to take Capstone soon. She had me email her on Thursday of week 5 during my last class before Capstone (Leadership) and she registered me for Capstone before my grade had been posted. Email your advisor to let them know that you are planning to take Capstone next. Did you already apply for graduation?

Spring Break is next week for my son so I'm making my big push this week so I can have fun next week. This class is not overly stressful, most of the stress is probably self-induced on my part because of other life circumstances. The directions for the assignments are vague but I have gotten very good grades on everything in week 1-2. Maybe grading is lenient. Maybe the vague directions are meant to give us less constraints in our assignment.

Is anyone else feeling like this Capstone project is not explained very well? Ugh, I am going to make up another assignment and hope that I am doing the right thing.

I got an email from the teacher notifying us of our coaches. Bring it on! I am ready for this to be over quickly and painlessly!

I asked my AC and she said she would prefer that we didn't cut and paste. I did it anyway.

I cut and pasted also. It does seem like a repeat. I am ready for this class to be over. I am a little worried about the timing of getting my grade for this class then signing up for Capstone. My advisor said to email her on Saturday to remind her to register me. Hopefully registration runs smoothly.

Week 4! Only a couple of assignments left. I better finish them quick because I am already thinking about Capstone and graduation! I had some errors (I think due to incorrect rounding of numbers) on the Financial assignment that left me with a B on the assignment. I am looking ahead and glad that I don't have to worry about that anymore!

I will be in Capstone also. I can't wait to have free time!

Is there a place where we actually make a plan in our change theory project or do we just analyze how to make a plan? With this assignment and the financial assignment I feel like I could be completely wrong about how I am going about the assignment. One mixup in my math could change the whole outcome of the financial assignment.

After this class I only have Capstone. I will be applying for Spring graduation in the next week or two. Week one of classes is always busy. There are usually plenty of assignments to keep me busy the first week, which causes me to be a bit anxious. I am ready for week two! The only bad things I remember reading about this class are that the assignments don't have a lot of description of what they want. I have noticed that this is a running theme across UTA. I just try to do my best (it usually works out well).

I will be starting on Monday. Anyone else? I hope it's pretty easy and straightforward. I already started setting up the shadowing and rented the book.

So far there are little things to do, but nothing very difficult. I need to take week 2 quiz still, but if it's like the week 1 quiz I will be fine.

I checked both out from my local library. I am going to skim them to see which looks best.

I just watched Freedom Writers. It was good. I cried through most of it (I'm just a sap). And now I can say that I've been working ahead in the class!

I'm ready!

I just turned in week 4. I completed the FEMA certificate during our break week before the class started. I had done all of the quizes by week 3 because they were so easy (read the tips, most of the answers are there). I think the assignments were a bit in depth, but when I couldn't find information I stated that and no points were taken off. Overall, I think that this class was very doable. Good luck to everyone!

I don't think we are required to make corrections of previous weeks work. I never did, and I didn't get dinged for it. Either way, week 4 is a new week and we aren't using the same document anymore. I hope this week 4 assignment goes well!

The quizzes have been easy points too!

I think that they realized that it may be difficult for us to find all of the information. They were probably looking to see if we collected the correct type of data and that we used APA correctly. I was really worried about what my grade would be on the Week 2 assignment, I got a 99. My only deduction was because I didn't have 3 sentences in one of my paragraphs. They don't seem to be grading as hard as they did in Holistic Health Assessment and Research. I think I was just a little shell shocked from my last classes, this one seems much more realistic in their expectations. Or maybe I have a great coach, who knows.

Great! Thank you. That is not how I was doing it! It seems like the link that they provided for us should have had something about how to cite info in a table. Either way, I'm trying not to let this class get to me. After Research and Health Assessment I can do anything!

I don't think that the first quiz was anything to worry about. I haven't taken the second quiz yet though.

I believe that we use the corrected assignment from our coach then just add to it. I hope we don't need to go back and correct because I got a lot of comments that said to be more specific. I'm having a hard time with week 2. There are so many statistics and I can't find everything on the same website, so I have to merge from multiple places into one table. Whine, complain, whatever. So, I can't figure out how to cite references in my table. I asked, the coach told me to refer to my APA manual. Duh! I just can't find it specifically laid out anywhere. I hate when I get so caught up in finding the perfect info or formatting Word that I can't even focus on the assignment itself (this seems to be my biggest downfall!)

Just got 2 emails about it. I already sent back my old book and I haven't received my new book yet. It says they are creating crosswalks and links (I hope that means ways to see the book online). Basically, I just have to wait for my book and work on things that I can do without the book (everything but the quiz?). They aren't extending the due dates on anything. Hopefully it works out.

Same book issues here. I rented my book from book renter and can return it for free. Ordered my new book just now from them, should be here in 3-7 days. In another class they let people whi didn't have their book check out an ebook from the UTA library (I didn't use it and don't know how it worked). There must be new material, hopefully this class has changed for the better!
