Ahhhh...the wait seems as if it will kill you!! That was me last summer! Thankfully I got my letter and I just finished my 1st year in the ASN program at Valpo. I applied to both Valpo & Lafayette last fall with a score of 173.3 and was accepted at both campuses for the ASN program. I know how frustrating it is waiting and wondering where you're at compared to others and waiting on "the letter". Although things change from year to year and from campus to campus, here is some info that hopefully helps. According to the dates of my letters last year, Valpo letters went out around June 8th & Lafayette around June 2. Valpo had about 40 spots (20 for ASN/20 for PN). Lafayette only did the ASN program last fall but had available the same amount of spots which I do believe was at least 40...maybe 50?? Someone correct me if I have that number wrong!! Not sure what that campus is doing for this fall. Based on the scores of others, my 173.3 (All A's and an 83.3 TEAS) was about in the middle of the range of accepted scores. Also keep in mind that not all campuses send out alternate letters...even if you are the first one they may call when someone drops their spot...so try not to freak out if your first letter isn't a congratulatory one. Keep your chin up because most people have applied to multiple campuses...they drop the spots they don't want and it opens the door for someone else. Good luck to you all...and try not to pull all your hair out waiting :)
