  1. Hey Elissa and nme1990! I was accepted to the U of T and UBC programs in late April. It's so hard to choose between the two. I was just wondering if either of you could give me some input? I know that the UofT program is more research-based than the UBC program is. From what I heard, the UBC program also has more clinical hours. I was looking at the curriculum for U of T and it covers basic microbiology, which I have taken previously in my undergrad at UBC, so I'm not too sure if it'd be worth it to go through courses I've taken already. That being said, I am really having trouble choosing between the two! They are both amazing schools! Any input would be appreciated! Thanks :)
  2. Hey everyone! I've been accepted to both the UBC and U of T programs. It's so difficult to choose between the two! Is anyone else from BC or have been accepted to both programs? What are your thoughts? :)
  3. Hi mazo2_! :) I was comparing the curriculum between the 2 schools and it seems that U of T places a bit more focus on research and health care politics/systems than does UBC. UBC also has more clinical hours than U of T and because of that, I'm leaning more towards UBC. It seems that UBC is also a lot harder to get accepted to and finishes earlier so we can write the certification exam before U of T students do. U f T clinicals are also great, but im worried about their community health topics - there's a lot of emphasis on community health and some of the clinicals seem quite far from downtown Toronto. It's soo difficult to decide though! What are your thoughts?
  4. I've also been accepted to both! I'm really torn between the two. If anyone has some insights/opinions regarding both programs, I would really appreciate it!
  5. Just wondering. Did anyone else get accepted to both the UBC and U of T programs? I'm in the midst of comparing the 2 and I think UBC is winning for me haha So, I was just wondering if there was anyone else out there who's in the same boat as I am :)
  6. I just received an offer!!!!! YAY! good luck everyone!!
  7. I received my invite for interviews earlier today (Mon, March 25)!! Ahh! Soo excited!! Good luck everyone!!!
  8. Oops, my bad haha I seriously thought I read "weighted equally" somewhere, but I guess that was for something else! Thanks for clearing that up! : )
  9. Hi Everyone! I'm also applying for the 2013 intake! I'm super nervous about the interview. From what I understand, both volunteering and grades are weighted equally! So, as long as we are "balanced" we should be alright! : )
