I am a medic/EMT-B in the Army National Guard. I have an NREMT EMT-B. I once had an IDPH EMT-B. I let my IDPH EMT-B lapse. I am trying to get my IDPH EMT-B reinstate They said I used the retrospect once and now want proof I got training I told them I am a Medic/NREMT EMT-B in the National Guard. They are saying that is not enough So I ask what they want and I am waiting for an answer.

This is off topic but it may explain the IV thing. I am a medic in the National Guard. The Army trains you to become an NRET EMT-Basic. They also give you more advance training When I work under the ARNG I can do almost anything they say. Example Needle Chest Decompression, I Vs, Draw Blood ETC. In the civilian world with that training I would be EMT-Basic. However some places/hospitals ETC see that I am an Army Medic and allow/expect me to do more. As EMT-B I work under medical control(someone with higher medical knowledge/authority) if they ok it I can/will do it.
