  1. I just wanted you to know that all I had to do was answer a basic health questionnaire (cirrhosis wasn't listed), they gave me a TB test, checked my vision, drew blood work (I didn't have my shot records), the NP did all the work. I filled out the necessary paperwork for HR. Now, I'm wondering what they are looking for in the blood work.
  2. Thank You so much for responding to my post. I read through some other posts - I'm new to this website and it's very helpful. They didn't actually say I would be having a medical exam - I actually assumed it because I'm freaking out thinking I would have to disclose my medical condition. They told me to report to the employee health dept. and bring my ID, shot records and I would be getting a TB test - after looking at the other posts maybe that's all they will be do. If I have to fill out a history - how should I answer the question - do you have any other medical conditions or disability not covered by the above? I have to be at the hospital at 10:00 - I'm getting nervous :)
  3. I'm 50 years old and was diagnosed with cirrhosis 5 years ago. Since that time I have quit drinking, eat healthy, exercise regularly, I have no symptoms, and recently graduated from college. I was offered a job at a local hospital and will be going through a post hire medical exam tomorrow morning. I want to be honest about my medical condition and I don't need any accommodations to do the job - but I'm worried that my condition will have a negative effect on their decision to hire me and they will rescind the job offer. Do I have to disclose this information and how much information am I required to provide. I'm really uncomfortable sharing this information with anyone. Any suggestions?
