  1. I'm actually doing part-time work right now 7p-7a twice a week but I still don't think that it's a good idea to continue this kind of schedule since I'm also doing my clinicals every Friday from 6:30a-5p.
  2. I am starting nursing school this fall and currently working 12 hr nightshift as a clinical technician at a hospital. I received my lab and clinical schedule last week and it complicates with my work schedule. I will have school M, T, R, and F so the only option is to work either 1 day and 1 night/week or 1 night/week. I spoke with my manager and told her my situation and she told me that she'll try to figure something out so she can accommodate my school schedule. Also during this meeting, she had told me that she can't let me work dayshift (even if I'm only asking for 1 day shift per week) because I am a night shift tech. I emailed her and asked her what she decided to do and she told me that "I would like you to think hard how you could put in 24 hrs , and I am sorry but you may have to do some sacrifices at least for this semester..". I love working at this hospital and my coworkers but school is my priority. What should I do?
  3. Hello to all, This is my very first post. I'm starting with nursing school this coming fall and I'm kind of nervous but excited at the same time. I have been working as a nursing assistant at a hospital since October last year and my coworkers (nurses) kept on telling me that I'm going to be way ahead (knowledge-wise) than my classmates. I still can't stop being nervous though because I don't know what to expect in nursing school. Any advice??? Thank you!
