  1. Definitely took more than 2 weeks, I went to a Sylvia Rayfield and Associates review back in march, then I started studying about an hour each day after graduation May 3rd, and then I went to another Sylvia Rayfield Review (Repeats are free!) on the 4th of June, then I began using Kaplan Q Trainers. So I did prepare for more than 2 weeks, but thank you for the complement... I recommend anything by Sylvia Rayfield, very professional, engaging, and helpful, I enjoyed the review by Loretta Manning.
  2. I passed Friday the 13th with 75 questions! 50:14 Minutes. I just found out about 15 minutes ago on the website. I feel so ecstatic right now, I wanna go run a few miles. Thank you for all of your help, Nathan
  3. QT 1: 69% QT 2: 71% QT 3: 67% QT 4: 69% QT 5: 73% QT 6: 68% QT 7: 70% Well, I feel so relieved to have these done, I am going to review my questions for QT 7, and then relax tomorrow. Thanks for all the encouraging words everyone, Nathan
  4. QT 1: 69% QT 2: 71% QT 3: 67% QT 4: 69% QT 5: 73% QT 6: 68% After doing QT 6, I realise that I need to focus on the priority and delegation questions for sure. Well, I only have 2 more quizzes to take before the big day, I am feeling anxious but it is not debilitating. Any suggestions before friday? Thanks, Nathan
  5. Very anxious to take the test. I have been trying my best to maintain a positive attitude, and keep reassuring myself that I will pass. Thanks for the comments.
  6. QT 1: 69% QT 2: 71% QT 3: 67% QT 4: 69% Three more to go. I have also been scoring in the 80's with my NCLEX RN 101: How to Pass! Rayfield/Manning.
  7. QTrainer 1: 69% QTrainer 2: 71% I'm on my way.
  8. After reading from my other post, I decided to use the Kaplan Question Trainer, and I took my first one today, I got a 69%! From what I have been hearing from others, and what I read on Kaplan, I should be happy about this. My NCLEX is next friday (Friday the 13th OOOOooOOO ) Well, I will keep you all updated, I will not study the thursday before the test, so I have 6 more days! Wish me luck, I will be praying for everyone else. Thanks, Nathan
  9. 70% I would be devastated otherwise.
  10. Let me rephrase that, it is the 180 question test in the CD that comes with the book, I believe that people refer to this as the readiness test.
  11. I took this for the first time today, my NCLEX is in about a week. I finished it in about 1:45 (hour:minutes). I scored a 70. I am wondering if this is acceptable. I have heard others speak of 50's-60's passing. Should I feel good about this score? Thanks, Nathan
  12. I did take that into considerations, and made sure to ask during both interviews. It seems that they tend to do a larger variety of cases at the smaller hospital. Mainly the difference was that the larger hospital did not do opthalmalogic or vascular. Neither do trauma, but I am not to interested in that right now.
  13. Hello, I will be graduating in May, and just recently had 2 interviews for new graduate OR positions. Comparison: Both scrub and circulate One is larger The smaller pays better The beneftis are similar Had a slightly better "gut" feeling about the smaller hospital Orientation seemed for structured at smaller facility I am not sure which hospital to pick. I think I could flourish in both environments. I did prefer the smaller hospital, but I want to make sure that it will give me the experience that I need to become a good OR nurse. Any advice on how to further analyze the decision would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Nathan H
