I have read the many great post written but i hope you all can answer so specfic and possibly repeptive questions: 1) What are the top agencies i should apply for? 2) what are the agenies to stay away from 3) what are give and takes with travel i notice commetns in regard to housing and hourly pay rate. ( ill be honest my first time out i want to agency to find me a place and i also hope to have a good salary...does one suffer over the other...? 4) what are top travel areas to go ie: Ca/Flordia?Hawii?? 5) Shouls i have contracts ready with 2 seperate companies incase one cancel on me at the last minute. 6) What should i do when a company cancels on me at the last minute and i spent all this money getting there can i enter this in my contract to be FULLY reembursed? 7) What are some of the major bewares with agenies that i need to watch for when drafting a contract? 8) What should I expect when i get on the unit? Friendly face.. or CRAPY assignments? 9) Do agency provide me with health insurance by any chance? 10) Do i front the money for the entire thing..ie: lic, travel to get there and return? 2. Hello everyone, I want to make this a breif as possible. I am so fustrated with my situation. I am 3 months away from my 2 year mark on a telemetry unit and my dream of landing an ED position is still far from my reach. I cant seem to get a call back and im getting annoyed. Most recently my friend who is a male with 8 months experience landed a transfer into the ED. Im happy for him but i do have sour grapse. I am an ADN 4 months away from finishing my BSN. Could not having your BSN really be what is holding me back or could there be something else. i get calll backs for tele but not ED. I would love anyone helpful tips on what i should be doing to get into the ED. Thank you in advacne,
