Hi guys, I am doing an entire career change. I already have a Bachelors in pre law and now I want to go into nursing. Not sure why I waiting this long, I guess I finally had to get out of my comfort zone and just do it! I always wanted to help others and being a Reiki practitioner it opened so many doors for me. But enough about me Being that I don't really have many sciences courses, just a few core course that I think bmcc would need I have to basically start from scratch. I just applied for summer 2012 non matric... I will be taking the mat 104 class once I see my advisor on may 30th. Since chem is a prereq for bio classes I wanted to get it out of the way but there are no seats available until Spring 2013. (I work full time) I decided to take that course at a SUNY in the meantime so I won't waste any time and maybe a psych course in the second session since that seems to be filled as well. I spoke to a woman on the phone today and she said it was ok to take non matric and have them transferred over but she mentioned something about having only 35 credits to graduate? and 30 credits only allowed to be transferred over from other schools. She then had to rush me off the phone after she told me its better to go to a 4 year school and not at BMCC because I already have a bachelors.. Not something I would really have expected her to say but the 4 years schools are only day time and I work full time so its very difficult for me to leave. The weekend/night prog would be ideal for me. Any suggestions and tips would be greatly helpful from you guys. I haven't been to school in 6 years and this is such a big change for me..im so nervous lol. xox
