  1. I wish i knew more on this myself. Everything was just weird n confusing concerning my resignation. The NM said she was obligated to notify the bon(i haven't heard from the bon so far) On the good note, i got a job at a more reputable hospital with excellent working environment/conditions. Thank you all for opinions
  2. Thank you all for the support n replies. Kooky Korky: I learned not to sign anything presented to me (like in this case) w/out inquiring of future impact. Also not to trust employers/ manager/DON, when they tell say "mistakes are allowed because thats how you learn, we've all made mistakes." Update: I've been honest in interviews when asked 'why are you leaving your job?' I tell them the measures i've put in place to not repeat such mistakes etc etc. And still no offers. Should I give them another reason or stick with it? I need to get back to work, been a nurse for only 1yr+ And now, i've heard (rumors on the unit) that the NM reported me to BON for not following safety checks. i'm not the only one that has done this on the unit, plus it was my 1st time. Really worrying me. I don't want to loose my license i worked too hard for it. what to do? 1st- getting a lawyer what else?
  3. Thank you all so much. Though it might be late, i turned in the letter (and to HR as well- since they have no clue). Just in case. My interviews have been going pretty well, and hope to get some offers soon. I have learned a great lesson from all these. I just want to move on. @nurseaig: in TX, don't think its an hca facility. @Havin' A Party! a year (1st nursing job) @elprup: ditto!
  4. Thank you all for your responses. I did sign the initial write-up, that stated that "i didnt scan the fluids"- because i really forgot to do so(its part of our safety checks). Nothing else after that, even after i was asked to resign. I figured they just wanted me out. I plan on calling the DON/NM, to follow-up with this, ie asking what she did exactly, n what she's telling my potential employers? At the moment interviewing for other positions so I hope it doesnt get in the way.
  5. Yes. I just contacted HR and they had no idea about my case, been 2+weeks already. Apparently i am still showing as an active employee. I don't want to be working anyways but I am concerned about "they" will say to my future employer.
  6. I had that option or be terminated for a first mistake of not scanning fluids. No harm caused. Maybe "forced" is not the right word...
  7. I need help. I was forced to resign(with immediate effect) from my job, Do I still need to turn in a letter for leaving? "they" (supervisors) said they were going to take care of everything and they didnt want anything from me again. I turned in my badge and left (in my state of shock n not knowing what to think).
  8. To the OP: I feel you, I'm in the same soup. Forgot to scan fluids on time(the first time, no harm caused) then bam!! I was asked to resign. After only a year of nursing. I'm also looking for jobs. It was an honest mistake you did, and should been given a, second chance. All is not lost. You'll get something better. Rhbrickhouse: what is company's name, please? Can't pm yet, I'm new to this site
