  1. I came across a woman named Iwana Bone, I mean seriously I hope Bone was her last name. If not her parents were really mean.
  2. Has anyone gotten their W2's yet from NELRP?
  3. No disbursement yet, but it is posted on the website so it should be soon!
  4. Not yet. Im guessing we will get it late next week.
  5. Got the deposit this morning.
  6. It looks like we will be getting our deposits soon. I looked at the portal and it has mine as processed it just hasnt reached the bank yet.
  7. Same here, I received a deposit but no back pay.
  8. Where do you go to on the portal so see where it says payment processed?
  9. I emailed them today and they said we should have a deposit close to the end of the month.
  10. I have a set schedule of M-F 8am-5pm, rarely have to work 8-12 on Saturday (maybe once every 2-3 months). But I work in a pediatric clinic.
  11. Well I am going to be hopeful that we will get it this month. And since when have the reps given us good information? ha Also if you look at the document titled Next Steps it states "NOTIFY NELRP through the Customer Service Portal if you have not received your first loan payment one month after your contract start date." Therefore I think that it is time to start notifying them and see what the deal is!
  12. The paperwork says to expect your first deposit approximately one month after your contract start date. Mine was 9/7 so I am expecting it anytime, hopefully. Also tgonzalez contract was signed on 8-15 and received a deposit on 9-19.
  13. Did you receive and email notification from NELRP stating you had gotten a deposit or did you just check your bank account?
  14. I have seen that one or two have received their first deposits and it was for 2 months (this month and last month). However, I am still waiting on my first deposit and it should be coming anytime!
  15. I am an RN that has been awarded and I do NOT work at a Primary Care Health Shortage Facility according to HRSA webiste, it was when we started back in January but not now. I work in a In a Medically Underserved Area/Population and In a Mental Health Professional Shortage Area. That being said I thinking whoever you talked to at the HelpDesk didnt know what they were talking about.
  16. In order to get the loan forgiveness does it have to be direct loan?
  17. I don't know if it makes much sense to consolidate though when 3 if my 4 loans have lower interest rates than the 6.65% I can possibly get through the government.
  18. Congratulations! I know thats a huge relief!
  19. I have tried to consolidate them in the past and could not find anyone to consolidate them with. Any ideas on who to use?
  20. My interest rates are a little bit lower on the loans i owe less, but not much. I know that if i paid towards the loan that has the highest interest rate i would not be able to pay off all of it within the 2 years so I would still be stuck with paying 4 seperate payments everymonth which is about 1/3 of my paycheck.
  21. I am personally paying off my loans starting with the least amount first. I currently have 4 loans through 2 different places, 1 at one place and 3 at the other. If I start with the lowest amounts first I will be able to pay off two in the first 2 years of the contract. If I am lucky enough to get the 3rd year, I can pay off another. Which will leave me just one payment when this is all over with.
  22. You can go to the HRSA website and print a copy of the 3rd year continuation contract. But basically it says (consistent with the initial NELRP contract, the Secretary and Particpant agree to amend the initial contract for a third year. All the conditions are the same. Subject to the availability of funds the secretary agrees to pay an amount equal to 25% of qualifying education loans which were unpaid on the effective date of the initial contract. ) So it sounds like if there is funding and you have done everything they ask you to throughout your first 2 years there should not be a problem in getting the continuation.
  23. From everything that I have read about the 3rd year, it looks like the 25% is based off of whatever the orginal amount of the loans were when you started the program. So it shouldnt matter how you pay them off as long as you can spend all the money they give you to pay on your loans that third year. If not you will have to give back whatever money you do not spend.
  24. Yes, that is the award worksheet that breaks down how much money they are giving you, the taxes held out, and the monthly payment. If/when you receive the final email you can open it up and view it.
  25. My understanding is that its for both years, since the total amount awarded is over the 2 year period. But then again I could be wrong.
