  1. Awesome! Thanks so much smiley65 Last question I promise. =) Do we get a spring break in February/March?
  2. It's going pretty well. Just trying to stay on top of all the readings and everything. I don't know if it's just me, but I was a bit confused trying to figure out what each class was for and the difference between lab and SIM lab. Question - does SIM lab have open hours or is that just for the NURS 1020 lab? Do we get time to practice our SIM lab skills outside of class?
  3. Hey guys, I know this is kind of thinking pretty far into the future, but does anybody know when the expected graduation date for us would be? I have a big life event to plan around that date so just curious :) Thanks, Ruby
  4. hi nurs9, first off, sorry for getting back to you so late! i haven't received any of the online readings. i see my courses now on my d2l account but i don't see any reading material or anything else on there yet. i haven't received anything about the whimis course either. did you go to the orientation? we received a textbook list and it outlines the two pre-readings for worksafe bc - back talk and dealing with latex allergies at work. i can message you those links if you would like. if you have any other questions, i'll try and help but i'm still eagerly waiting any news from bcit as well. - ruby =)
  5. Hey smiley65, I got the Jarvis textbook so I started doing the pre-readings from there. There's also the online readings and Worksafe articles for NURS 1020. Is there anything else that I could read up on to make the adjustment a little easier for me? Any other topics that I should review?
  6. Awesome! Thanks so much smiley65. That definitely helps clear things up. I'm getting very excited to start this program =)
  7. Hey. I just had some questions about our schedule. If I remember correctly, we are in the hospital two days a week - Tuesdays and Thursdays. Is the sim. lab scheduled on the same day as our hospital days? And I was looking at the sample schedule - where does pharmacology fit in? Sorry for all the questions. =)
  8. Hey everyone! I was just wondering if anybody has received a textbook list from BCIT or any sort of information package in the mail. I think I'm just too excited to start getting everything done haha See you all in orientation tomorrow evening! =)
  9. Hey everyone!! I've been following this forum but never got around to replying. This has really helped me in learning more about the program and helping to calm me down during the long wait. I got accepted into the August intake!! Congratulations to all of you! Hope to see you during the orientation. =)
