  1. Good evening: I am looking for advice concerning my desire to return nursing. I graduated in 1998 with my associate degree in nursing and worked for three years on a cardiac unit before deciding to stay home and raise my children. Well, my children are now in college, and I want to return to nursing. I am a little nervous. I have contacted my state board of nursing, and they tell me that as long as my license is on active status , I can return to work in the nursing field. I think I need a refresher course, but the area hospitals do not offer one. I would have to do an online course. Has anyone completed an online nurse refresher course for RN'S. If so, how difficult was it? I appreciate any advice my fellow nurses could give me on returning to nursing. Thanks, and God bless
