  1. So I went for AGAC-NP, I was told 40ish interviewed and only 25 will be accepted, I am not sure how many people applied. If you are going for FNP it may be a little harder to get into that major since so many people apply for that. They send out interview/interview wait list/decline all at the same time. You may be interviewed at this time and then accepted/declined/wait listed. After this round of interviews they may choose to interview the wait list interview people then go through the same process. The interview goes through basic behavioral questions where they want to find out what you do to improve yourself, work through difficult/challenging situations, how you act as a leader, what you will do for the nursing community with this degree, why do you want to be an NP in specific field, what are your interests in nursing and why. If you go interview you need to have an insightful understanding of your goals and passions in nursing and be able to articulate this. They want diversity and exceptional people. Be confident in what you're doing and let that come across, be proud of what you have done and what you believe in, be passionate. All of their faculty have done extraordinary work in nursing and continue to pioneer new practice and research, keep this in mind when you meet and interview with them. They were once in your place, interviewing for grad school, so let your drive and ambition shine.
  2. Hey guys, Just saw your thread. I am starting at Duke this fall and wanted to let you know.... everything is behind when it comes to receiving information even though they give you a general time frame in which you will hear. They just rolled out a new system this year and the Fall 2017 was the first term they are using it so they may still be learning. Don't be discouraged if you don't hear about your interview times yet, we got our notification 2 weeks before the interviews were scheduled for the first go around. When you get an interview, the website they use will have time slots for in person or Zoom video conference, at least that is how ours was. They do like the Zoom video interviews I think because it is less taxing on the faculty. Try not to sweat it, waiting is a bummer but it can be so worth it. Best of luck!
  3. It took them weeks to get back to us after we interviewed in late February. Maybe it'll be quicker for you. Best of luck!
  4. If you PM Calinca she can send you the link to join. Congrats to you!
  5. Gosh, I hope you all the PNP people hear back sooner than the end of the month. Waiting is hard. Good luck to you guys.
  6. Congrats everyone who has heard so far, Duke seems a little late on a lot of this so they will probably keep sending acceptances out for a while so don't be discouraged.
  7. I was accepted to the AC-AGNP for Fall, SISS just had 'View Decision' that didn't open anything, but it also had an accept/decline offer tab. Once accepted I got an email explaining the next step of paying $1,000.00 and so on.
  8. Did anyone call? Duke seems to be really behind with everything so this may be par for the course.
  9. There are 25 seats for adult gero acute care I was told. 42 are interviewing.
  10. They told me no later than March 13th, they said everything has been behind because of a software issue and they are sort of in a time crunch.
  11. I am sorry to hear your interview went that way, the faculty I interviewed with made it a comfortable atmosphere which lightened the stress and my nerves. It is unfortunate your experience was not similar. Was this the only school you applied/interviewed?
  12. They just sent out an email about that, Wednesday links aren't coming out until tomorrow evening.
  13. Good luck everyone! My interview is Tuesday in person in the morning. For anyone who is in NC who is interviewing make sure you apply for the NC FELS program.
  14. Update: I requested my time slot for interview, in the email it says once you fill out the form and submit you have to wait for an email confirmation of date and time for the RSVP to be official. When I looked at all the program slots, there were a ton still open for all the majors and it seems like most people who are out of state or at a distance already got info because they signed up for the zoom/video. I hope everyone hears soon!
  15. I got the email for interview this morning. February 20-23
