  1. Hey All - I didn't get an email about the 2 hour lab -- could someone post it here? And also let me know who it was from so I can follow up? Thanks!
  2. Thanks people for posting that it's easy to sort out the uniform stuff at the store -- I was scrambling to try to be able to make it to Truman tomorrow but now I won't bother! I was someone on the list for switching times and they emailed me about that on July 3, so I'm guessing they are behind and haven't gotten to the booklist yet? hah who knows!
  3. Hey all, I went to drop off my health information and found out that Vanisha is on vacation until July 8, so we won't be hearing anything administrative until after then (such as when the mandatory orientation is!). I also stopped by the bookstore - they have some of our books in, but not all. The rest of the books will be coming from Vanisha, so again I guess nothing for a couple of weeks. She's also in charge of switching day/evening cohorts, so I don't anticipate we'll hear anything about that. Basically I don't think we'll get any new information until mid-July. Not the best news, but I figured I'd let you all know so you're not worried that you're missing emails or something.
  4. OK -- just called the nursing department, they are apparently sending us an email - the tricyclic antidepressant has been REMOVED from the requirements!
  5. I didn't get a booklist, did anyone else get it? nursinghereicome, where did you get your blood drawn for the tricyclic? Northwestern told me they don't even test for that, so I'm not sure where I should go to get it done. thanks!
  6. For anyone with Blue Cross PPO, I got everything done at the Northwestern Travel/Corporate Health clinic. The drug test was $42 out of pocket, but all the titers are covered by insurance with a $30 office visit co-pay. I don't think they accept other providers, but I figured I'd let you know just in case.
  7. Hey All, Can someone post the text of the FAQ email on here -- I didn't receive it and I'd like to know what other conflicting info it provides! :)
  8. I tried to email Vanisha to see if I can get any more information, since they haven't sent us another email. If I find out anything I'll let you know - I'm planning to make an appointment with my regular doctor for the dug test and titration to try to get it done by the deadline (although I doubt that's a firm date -- the application we submitted said we needed our healthcare stuff turned in by July, not June) and will just do that if I don't hear anything further.
  9. Hooray Dnersh! my email is jeana.schaaf@gmail -- do you want to email me so we can try to work out the particulars? I'm sure the phone will be ringing off the hook, but I'm going to try to get in touch with someone in the next couple of days to find out the logistics.
  10. Is the CPR certification we need to do "Basic Life Support"? when I google "cpr for healthcare providers" that's what I keep getting - just want to make sure I'm signing up for the right thing!
  11. Hey All - I got evening and wanted days, so if anyone wants to switch please let me know.
  12. Thanks for the update on the schedule - that's kind of what I figured, but it's nice to have it confirmed! nursinghereicome congratulations!
  13. Hi All! Congrats to all of us! I'm also accepted into Truman - I sent 2 emails AND left a voicemail asking for confirmation and haven't heard back, but I''m assuming they are just swamped. Like ss_suzie said, we all have our sent emails so I'm sure we're fine. Also, I picked up a fall schedule and was looking at the nurse 101 hours -- does anyone know if those hours are just for classes, or are our clinicals also included in those times? Just trying to sort this out so I can keep my boss posted on what kind of hours I will be able to work! Also it seems like some of the classes meet for several more hours a week than other sections - has anyone else been able to decipher this?
