I got my letter too!!! Congrats to everyone who was accepted!! I'm still in shock/shaking!! Looking forward to meeting all of you! I'm doing day classes :)

So emailed Cheryl James this morning regarding emails. Last fall students received acceptance emails prior to receiving letters (they didn't hear back until the first week in Dec. This was her response: "The letters always go out six to eight weeks after the application deadline by US mail no matter the semester. The only way they go out by email is when another project interferes and we have to email them out the last day of the eighth week." So good news is the 8 week mark is November 26, if we don't have letters by then we will be receiving an email. I'm hoping we find our prior to Thanksgiving though!!

2 weeks waiting down....4-6 weeks left to go!! Fingers crossed for everybody!!

I believe our uniform tops have to have the fscj logo on them, but pretty sure we can use plain white bottoms (heard wal mart sells cheap). Also....I've ready over the Fall 2012 FSCJ feed on this website and i remember a post with one girl stating the stuff we could get ahead. Like stethoscope etc. And check craigslist for used uniforms from previous students =) Hope this helps.

Thanks! I heard for the Spring 2012 they actually got emails through FSCJ before they got their letters in the mail. But I remember seeing it took longer for them to get theirs b/c the nursing school got a new director or something!! I'm hoping it only takes 6-7 weeks max!!

I applied with a 205 & some change (not sure of the exact number) for Daytime schedule. What schedule & points did everyone else apply with/request? Hope to meet some of you all in the next few months

I think we're all gonna be going through the same thing lol =) to know that theres nothing else we can do but wait is just nerve wrecking!! Good luck to everyone!! Hope we find out closer to 6 than 8 weeks =)

Got my CPR certificate last night!! Heading to North Campus to drop off my packet on my lunch break!! I wish we didn't have to wait 6-8 weeks to find out if we get in or not!

Agreed!! I'm taking my CPR tonight & turning in my application tomorrow =) I can't wait to find out. I will be applying with a 206...hopefully that'll be enough. I did see last year they didn't find out until December but the fall applicant found out a lot sooner this year. It says 6-8 weeks, the deadline was June 1 and they all found out by the first week in July =) Hope we all get a speedy answer as well. Good luck to everyone applying!

Hey everyone! I am new to the forum and also a Spring 2013 hopeful. With my NAT & prereqs i'm currently at a 206 I believe. I'm so glad I read through this b/c I haven't taken my CPR cert yet. Just signed up this morning and scheudled to take it Thursday night 6-10 down by the beaches. If anyone needs info let me know =) Good luck to everyone!!

I spoke with the head of the nursing program and they are not offering nights until Spring 2013

Hey everyone!! I just wanted to start a new topic since it doesn't seem there are any discussions yet about anyone who is applying to the Nursing program for Fall 2012. I'm a little nervous right now b/c I will still be enrolled in Micro when I apply. Without Micro I will have a 189. I'm still going to apply (with my fingers crosse) in hoped I get in or even get a call from someone denying. If I end up with at least a B I'll have 201 total points. From what I've read a 201 should be guaranteed but then I'd have to wait until Spring. Fingers crossed a 189 w/o Micro will be enough for Fall! I'm so ready to start this program. Nervous & excited. Any tips/pointers would be greatly appreciated =)
