  1. It will be interesting to see if the results come out faster when the CRNE is set up like the NCLEX. Does anyone know what the difference is between the two in terms of difficulty?
  2. @Pauly05 It might also be helpful to look up the Provinical Competencies for an entry level nurse. After the exam I was wishing I did because I think it would have been helpful. If you have a login name and password from one of the hospitals that you did a clinical practice at, you could do some E-learning modules that may help (ie. chest tubes, picc lines). Good luck on your next try. My heart goes out to you.
  3. In defense to the person that used the word "professional". I would just like to menton that I don't feel that by anyway are they describing themselves as being professional that were meant in terms of being a "nurse". By being professional you have reasonable work morale and motivation. Having interest and desire to do a job well as holding positive attitude towards the profession are important elements in attaining a high level of professionalism. Does not just include nursing. Registration has nothing to do with a persons professionalism.
  4. No I don't sorry I will keep my ears open to my classmates that did fail and if I find out I will post. Positive thinking though.....I really thought I failed and passed!!
  5. Halifax results were sent out today and I PASSED!!! All of my classmates were getting their results and I didn't find out right away, so I phoned the College of Registered Nurses and in their exact words "Those who hold temporary licenses and were not successful writers of the CRNE were telephoned last week." On Friday there were 223 temporary licenses on the website and today there were 202, so it looks like 21 were pulled. Good luck to those of you who are still waiting for your results.
  6. Got my results today in Halifax.....I PASSED!!
  7. You know when questions are experimental because not everyone has the same questions. When you get a really weird one and ask your self "what the?" It is likely an experimental.
  8. Actually, the experimental questions were different on some exams.
  9. I was wondering how other test writers found the CRNE this month, without discussing specific questions (because we are not allowed to). It would also be nice to hear when others are getting their marks back across the country, hopefully it's soon :)
  10. In university we spend most of our time writing long papers that enable us to write good papers and to help us understand our feelings or the feelings that they want us to pretend we have. The ciriculum is set up in such a way that we have to cram information without practicing it and forget it by the time we get a chance to go into clinical. The professors assign us more readings than we would ever realistically get through, so its the students being cut short in the end. Maybe some would disagree with me, but that was my experience.
  11. It seemed like there was a lot of Peds and Community nursing. I could often get many questions down to two choices, but had to guess a lot. Because of all the guessing I feel that I failed. I am definately praying for a low cut off. Tricky definately!!
  12. I feel like I failed. I found it very difficult even though I studied and the CRNE Practice questions were way easier than the actual exam--it sucks, but I am preparing myself for the worst
  13. I was wondering if anyone has experience with the group PRIMED for CRNE review or if anyone has had any feedback about the group. Thanks :)
