I received a call from OHSU yesterday at around noon saying that they would like to offer me admission to the Summer cohort. I was sort of in shock and I didn't accept right away, but they told me that I had until today (5/18) at noon to make a decision. I had some questions I needed to ask the Financial Aid department before I could accept. Eventually I called back at around 5pm to say that I accepted. So for those that are still waiting for a call, perhaps they will make more phone calls today.

@nurse4ev: I'm in the Tri-Cities, WA and I haven't received my letter yet. I'm hoping for tomorrow.

@tigerlogic- I didn't get mine in the mail either and I'm in Washington State. Also, coincidentally I have a Microbiology test I'm studying for.

embracechange and Andee137 - Thanks for the good information. I kinda assumed the parking situation at OHSU would be terrible, so I did look into riding the MAX and/or buses. Unfortunately it seems like housing gets more expensive the closer you get to OHSU. Are there any moderately priced apartments that are located in a good area to bike/take the MAX/ride the bus to OHSU? Also, to add a monkey wrench to the equation, I have a dog that I will be bringing with me. Thanks again for your help!

Thank you to everyone who keeps us posted on the latest admissions news. It is much appreciated. I too think that this time crunch is becoming quite unreasonable. For those who do get accepted, it looks like they will have less than two months to get situated. At least I'm just across the border in Washington State, but I couldn't imagine living much farther away from Portland. daruma - I have been casually browsing craigslist for apartments and rooms for rent. I'm not familiar with Portland, but I have a friend that lives there that said the neighborhoods of Beaverton and Hillsboro are ideal for OHSU students. If I'm lucky enough to get accepted I plan on making a weekend trip down there to look at places to rent.
