  1. Returning to the Bedside

    LynnDiM posted a topic in Nursing Career
    Looking for advice on how to return to bedside nursing after being away. I currently work at a hospital as a case manager/discharge planner and miss being at the bedside, I feel like a secretary!!! I applied for a transfer, but was told by the managers that they were concerned because I have not had direct patient care for about 4-5 years. I have 2 years hospital experience, 2 years homecare and over 1 year in case management. Any advice on how to make the transition back??
