Thanks for the advice. I'm really trying to get myself to think the scores don't really matter and to be confident with just what I know.

I have looked at my answers and I actually didn't take any breaks (which was probably a mistake). I just wanted to get the last Q trainer out of the way. I never answered that many questions at a time before so I don't know if I just got overwhelmed. I think I answered them too quickly without really reading the questions either because I ended up having about an hour and a half left on the clock. As I looked over my answers there were some I was actually thinking "DUH....HOW DID I GET THAT WRONG"... I'll keep you posted. Thanks!

Thank you and good luck to you, also! I was actually to skip taking QT 7 because I already felt good about my score but I figured why not. Now my confidence went down...I haven't really look around on the forum but is QT 7 the hardest one or something? I think I'm just going to go ahead and take my scheduled exam. I don't think I should freak out over this last score.

Kaplan scores Diagnostics: 60% QT 1: 75% QT 2: 67% QT 3: 69% QT 4: 70% QT 5: 62% QT 6: 70% Readiness: 70% Q Bank: 65% (100% completed) I took my QT 7 today and I got a 58% which is shocking to me because I was never under the recommended 60% and now I am FREAKING OUT. The general consensus from people here is that QT 6 and 7 is the most important and it closely reflects the NCLEX so imagine my shock and disappointment when I got a 58%. So my question now is should I reschedule and study more or should I just go for it? I feel like I have been consistent with my other scores but this one is throwing me off. I don't know if it's telling me I'm not prepared enough. Any one with a similar experience? Any advice and insight would be greatly appreciated seeing that my exam is in 3 days.

Hey! I also recently applied. The application window was suppose to go until April 13 but it's closed now because of the big pool of applicants. Super competitive so I'm crossing my fingers! Can you tell me about your experience there as an SNA and what floor you work on?

I don't know how much different the UIC one is from the UIUC one but my nursing advisor told me that the most important first is GPA, essays, experience, then letters of recommendation. Personally my GPA wasn't as high (3.57) compared to the average admitted but my essay, experience, and letters of recommendation was pretty solid. I took a CNA course last summer in 2011 and got certified as well. My medical experience came from that because I've done clinicals at nursing homes and I've also volunteered as a camp counselor for children with neuromuscular disease so I had an adequate amount of experience with providing care especially to people with physical disabilities. As for letters of recommendation, my nursing advisor told me that usually when you get a recommendation from a nurse (especially one with higher education like getting their Masters) it holds some weight. Hope this helps but like I said, the admittance process can be very different! From what I heard, decisions have been made already but they're just slow on emailing. If you can, try calling to see if you got admitted!

Hi guys! I applied to the Urbana campus and instead of getting an email my nursing advisor called me personally to tell me I was accepted! I checked my application status but it still said in review. It might be faster in Urbana because we have a smaller amount of applicants so they go through it faster. You guys will probably not hear from email for a while but if you call the admission office or the nursing advisor they might know already but just haven't sent out the decisions yet. Good luck guys!
