What do you guys think of the "not mandatory but strongly recommended" textbook list? Have any of you guys already bought the books on this list? Any advice from previous level 1 students? I'm thinking of just waiting until classes start to see whether or not i should get the textbooks.

I'm supposed to be in my 4th year at UBC right now studying chemistry but my heart isn't really in it anymore so i'm taking a semester off to focus on my nursing application. I have finished 6 credits of English, 6 credits of introductory psych, and 6 credits of 3rd year level psych that should count for the extra liberal studies that BCIT is looking for. I'm also currently doing libs 7001 and 7002 online. The only thing that worries me is that being waitlisted for the last intake doesn't really account for much since everyone has to start fresh every time they apply. And there's probably a different pool of applicants this time. Still crossing my fingers and hoping for the best.

Yes, i was actually waitlisted for August but no seat came up so i had to reapply for the january intake.

My last name starts with C and i haven't heard anything yet. Now i'm really really nervous. :S

Congrats to everyone that was shortlisted. The letter they sent says people who applied to the last intake don't have to send references unless they want to update them. So i don't think i'm sending one in since i'd be getting them from the same people anyway and they were great references. It just feels weird not to be sending anything. :S Anyone got any advice?

Hey guys! Is there anyone else that had trouble opening the pdf files that were attached to the email they sent us? The email that contains the reference forms. I've emailed them about it but haven't gotten a reply. :S
