  1. Yes!! I found that only the ATI teas study guide had the pertinent info I needed. I had also purchased other books, thinking the more books to study from, the better. This is NOT the case! I purchased two different ones by McGraw-Hill but they had questions that had us studying things we did not need like extreme science questions or math equations. Other books are NOT needed... Study the ATI book from cover to cover, take the in book practice tests, and take the ATI online practice tests (monitoring your time) and you'll do great!!
  2. Congratulations to those who will be starting their nursing program in a coupleo of weeks!!! Is anyone planning on applying in January besides my BFF and I??
  3. The first time I took the test, Aug 1st, I RAN OUT OF TIME!!! I scored a 68.7% and was mortified!! I managed my time, studied for 60 more days and retook the test, Oct 1st, scored an 82.0%!! I am happy my score was better than that of the first time, but will study and take it once more... On a side note... I am very proud of my friend kymerm (genius) who gracefully scored a 92% and has been accepted into the BSN program!!! Way To Go!! Woohoo!!
  4. I am applying to the program in January, and once you attend the pre-nursing forum some of these questions will be answered. Ultimately, you have to realize two things... 1- You are in school learning to help and possibly save human being's lives... We all have bills, I have 4 kids who always have their hands out. I must work be the BEST nursing student I can be, and if we are poor for two years then so be it!! Until I get my license, my job is just being an amazing student... 2- With school, clinicals, and studying for 80+ hours PER WEEK you will not have any time for a job!! What little spare time you may have will be used to sleep. You will be LUCKY to see kids, hubby or even the dog while you are in the program... I dont mean to say these things to scare you, but many people think that the BSN program will just be a cakewalk with weekends and holidays off... On the contrary... We will be doing either clinicals or class for each of those... Good luck! Take some time to get your bills in order and check into scholarships and school loans. It is doable!! Best wishes, LoloCo
  5. Well that's just plain sad!!! Congratulations!!! Getting into the program is VERY hard work!!! You must have kicked some serious butt in order to get in!! It is a great accomplishment and you are due every congratulations in the world!! Good Luck in the program!!
  6. Hi Aray!! First, take a deep breath!! The biggest issue with the Teas is the time constraint! My advice would be to skip and go back to the essay questions on the 1st portion of the paragraph and passage comprehension. There are approx. 20-25 of those questions that eat a lot of your time up!!! The first time I took the test I missed 18 questions on the reading portion of the test because I just "didn't get to them"!!! I scored a 68.7%(I was mortified!!) then took note of all the "extras" I needed to pay more attention to... I scored an 82.0% 61 days after my 1st attempt!!!
  7. Even though I have a wonderful study partner and have studied the ATI book cover to cover, I am still very anxious about this essay and teas!! I take them tomorrow!! Any advice for me?!
  8. la24lkr, That is so awesome!!! I am so excited to apply in July!! I am almost done with the BST322 class and start ILR260 next week!! I really need to get a study group together for the teas V test! If anyone is applying to Fresno in July and wants to study let me know!! LoloCo
  9. How did the National program go? I am applying in July and wanted to see what your opinions were?!
