Man, does anyone know how many people are "waitlisted"?

Congratulations to everyone who got in!!!!!!!! Can someone help me out...My status says Waitlisted, does anyone know if that happens to ensure acceptance for January 2012? Oh, I hope it does :s Again, congrats to all of you who are starting up!!!

No acceptance/ rejection email for me yet...waiting...ever...so...patiently...

@ Sandy28 Woah...I would assume you would be shortlisted with those qualifications?! I hope BCIT doesn't do a "lazy" or random-chance pick for applicants. I don't know what to say but keep trying and don't give up. You deserve to be shortlisted. Also, if you haven't already, do your resume up in one of those fancy/ professional templates... Fingers crossed for you

I hate to be the negative one to say this but I think that those who don't get shortlisted, don't hear anything from BCIT. And my feeling now is that they have notified all shortlisted applicants...especially because they are confirming accepted applicants by April 30. Thats fairly soon :s I might be wrong but it says on the website & once the application is recieved that "shortlisted applicants will be notified"...in other words, I dont think you get a rejection status unless you are shortlisted, then rejeccted...Can anyone clarify that? Anyone here applied before and heard nothing back?Gosh, this process is enough to drive anyone mad. ..

Hey there. This is to anyone who has been shortlisted before. It says that we are to submit the reference forms to BCIT. Usually references are confidential but is says on the bottom of both the volunteer& Employee ref that "employeer OR applicant" to submit to nursing dept. My refs have given the refs direct to me and I plan on submitting it all together in a package. Does this mean that I can see my own references? Thanks:)

Hi...I found out I was shortlisted on Mar 15th! So excited but also know that it doesn't mean I'm in... I only have 58 transfer credits but Lot's and lot's of work and Vol experience (13 years work as a care-giver and 4000+ volunteer hours)...I don't know where this puts me in the competition :s I have completed the additional suggested classes (Engl/ sociology and all anatomy physiology classes) But what are these LIBS courses? If I do not make it in for Aug 2012 can I take these at BCIT? Thanks and good luck to everyone!
